Good fake God I was about to read all of your posts but come the fuck on, appointing a maximum wage are you people serious?
Abolish minimum wage?
People actually complain about still getting paid while earning tips?

...Communists and their selfishness : /

If you're going to have a minimum wage, why not a maximum?

You can't put a maximum on what a person wants to earn from a job! That would seem a little totalitarian of us. God next you're going to say we should set a spending limit per person... *waits for it*

So the minimum wage should be abolished: decreeing a value for a person's labor is totalitarian.

I'm not talking about abolishing minimum, I'm on maximum. Minimum wage has already been settled it can never be abolished, it can go up or down but never be wiped out, even if some leader taked over America and deems it unworthy.

It will still be there. The question of the maximum is what worries me if we get a maximum even if it is insanely high then I will have no faith in this country.

All that being said, I leave you with one comment. The East Germans had a proverb, that I now paraphrase: "Any one man can work hard enough to make a good living, but no one man can work hard enough to be worth a million."

I'd debate that, solely because you do hit a point where someone has done so much for your company that he is worth that. It's easy to point at where a CEO screws up, but you also need to realize what it took for that person to get in that spot to begin with...

So you're okay with totalitarianism at the bottom, but not at the top?

^It could be argued that confiscatory income tax rates, such as the ones we had from 1940-1980, constitute a de facto maximum, Ghost.

In general, yes.

OTOH, my brother, when he worked at Boeing, once made a change in their computer inventory system that saved them several tens of millions over five years. Wouldn't that make his work worth millions?

Totalitarianism in general is a mess in general so no, nor am I suggesting such a thing nor do we even have to consider this question and pertaining to the bottom because a minimum wage will always be there.

When somebody is making that kind of money, it's usually because of the work of other people.

Oftentimes, on Wall Street, it's not based on work at all. It really is ill-gotten gains, won at the Casino that is Wall Street.

You can't just take someone's credit away for getting something with luck and besides most people who even have stocks are comfortable people hoping for more money, or people wishing to gain more. It's America leave the fucking country if you don't like this.

If someone wants to build something they invented, but hires people to help then you can't just expect the person to include all of the employees as co-inventors.

So if a maximum wage is passed, how many years till you'll defend it "because it will always be there"?

Inventing something is one thing. Making millions off the labor of others for no other reason than that you have money sitting around is different -- especially when you do it through a system that is rigged to make wealth trickle up, as ours is.

I would allow companies to work with no minimum wage regulation, provided they would allow 2 hours of paid time each year for employees to hear from a different union representative about the possibility of signing up.

The reason is to make money, I don't think they have money just sitting around, you do realize there are expenses to owning a business and a business can come down in a very small amount of time. Money fuels money, man craves money.

Even men who are living at the bottom crave money, even people without knowing currency dream about declaring their power.

There will never be a maximum wage because demand can break any set wage easily.

I admire your tolerance for diversity of opinion. It's what has made America so well respected across the globe.

Just trying to give you the truth buddy, because capitalism will always live. Anything's better than some illusive dream Marx thought about. (About that last comment) I'm open to thinking on it, therefore I know it's impossible.
