From what I've heard of 'Trespassing', I'm really looking forward to the album. I think Adam is starting to come into his own as an artist and as an artist on a major label. His first album was pleasant but rather bland. Nothing as daring as his style, performances and his references suggested. He seems to have a little more control in the direction this time around, really spreading his wings. Even with the change in direction from glammy pop to disco/fuck and electro influenced sounds, I sense the material will be more reflective of who he is than his debut.

Underneath is SO atmospheric.


It gives me everything I love out of a Lana Del Rey track with all the nuances and crescendos.


Can't wait for Cuckoo and Pop That Lock.

THe album is so amazing. I am so happy with it. I thought For Your Entertainment was awesome but Trespassing shits all over that album. Cuckoo, Pop That Lock, Naked Love, Never Close Our Eyes are all amazing.

Pop star Adam Lambert made history this week when he became the first openly gay singer to claim the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart with his new album TRESPASSING.

Artists like Elton John and Ricky Martin would certainly rank as some of the best selling artists of all-time, but neither managed to crack the number one position after publicly coming out as gay. Lambert himself came out following his appearance on the 8th season of American Idol, where he took runner-up. Despite that second place finish at the time, Lambert quickly amassed a hugely loyal fanbase, which helped propel the sales of his latest release.

TRESPASSING, which was released on RCA Records/19 Recordings on May 15, was executive produced by Lambert and has been met with incredible critical reviews. Rolling Stone declares that Trespassing is “the great pop album everybody was hoping Adam Lambert would make” while New York Daily News exclaims, “it’s the sound of liberation achieved.” People Magazine raves that “Lambert stakes claim for the divos on his glamtastic second set” and USA Today proclaims that it is “the album that fans have been wanting from him.”

In addition to making great music, Adam continues to be a strong voice for equality. He was nominated for Outstanding Music Artist at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards.

Not really a fan. I'll admit he's somewhat talented albeit overrated.

"Trespassing's" 77,000 start is the smallest sum at No. 1 on the chart since the tally dated Aug. 20, 2011, when Adele's "21" sold 76,000 in its 12th nonconsecutive week atop the list. "Trespassing" has the smallest sales week for a No. 1 debut since Amos Lee's "Mission Bell" started in the penthouse with 40,000 on the Feb. 12, 2011 chart.

....and 200k overall. The first one never even sold a million. Barely 1.2 million world wide in 3 years.

If you check the charts you'd see the selling machine that is Adele has been skewing the figures for some time now. On many of the weeks when she was number one, the number two record had similar sales to Adam's this week. If she had been taken out of the equation there would have been many more number ones with these kind of numbers in the last year. Only the established stars and huge teen acts have been selling big (and not all of them either. The Wanted debuted with 34k). It's the way the recording industry is going these days.

No, His 1st album sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide. It has been comfirmed by Sony Music Entertainment.

Stop being ignorant. Billboard doesn't know his worldwide sales as they can't track worldwide sales. Billboard can't compile sales from every country. Over a year ago, Kobalt Music Group published a press release stating that Adam's album sold over 1.2 million worldwide. Billboard is likely using it as the source. Sony's press release is stating the newest sales data.

I love this album already!! And I've only heard 3 songs off of it. I downloaded BTIKM as soon as it was released (it is an amazing song, and the video is pretty cool). Never Close Our Eyes is awesome too. I saw a behind the scenes of his music video for that song, and it looks pretty good (this futuristic, big brother type theme in it). Outlaws of Love is pretty awesome too. So far those are the only three I've downloaded off of iTunes though lol.
