Honey, don't be scared of twenty. Be scared of thirty!... that's a total mindfuck.I don't think 26 is young anymore because of my age. I am scared of turning 20, let alone 25 so, 26 is just terrifyingly old. I think that everybody will have a different idea of what is old etc. based on their own age.
But it's true: the definition of "old" gets pushed farther and farther back the longer you live. When I was twenty, twenty-five seemed pretty old; now I'm forty-two and twenty-five is still a baby! And my grandmother, who will be ninety-three next month, always shakes her head and sighs "but s/he was so young" when someone in their seventies dies; if you asked her to fill in the ages for youth, middle age, and old age, it would be 0-50 = young, 50-100 = middle aged, and 100+ = old.
