Airbnb for muslims

Thank you, spokesperson for moderate Muslims. Gosh I dunno what other cultures would do if we didn't have white people explaining everything to and for us.

Again reductio ad absurdum. I don't claim to speak for all moderate muslims. And does being white make my opinion less valid?

I may be blue-eyed and blonde, but my grandpa came from Lebanon, my husband from Turkey and we live in Morocco. My surname is Arabic and when I go to the USA I don't feel much white privilege. In fact, I was living in Utah when 9/11 happened. Two weeks later my family sent me to Europe for unrelated reasons, and suddenly I was a security risk. I was frisked several times. I was interrogated several times. And every time I got on a plane, stern-looking flight attendants came up to double-check my identity and make clear that I would be arrested if I dared to cause any trouble. I was thirteen years old, and lost all the "white privilege" I may have had until then.

But back to topic. Everyone is entitled to comment on this thread, whether you like it or not. And if you disagree with someone, do it civilly and seriously. But don't just dismiss everyone as "white people"and "assholes".

Not everyone, just you and a few other brown-o-phobes

And what is your evidence that I don't like people with brown skin? I do, and not only sexually. I am a fervent advocate of ethnic minorities and a radical opponent of any ethnic discrimination.

But I will not allow any religion to tell me what to do with my life, especially not those homophobic monotheists from Rome, Mecca, Salt Lake and Jerusalem.

Let me guess, your best friend in high school was Muslim too?

I see you cannot help judging others at random.

But I asked you a question. You called me a brown-o-phobe. Why? On the basis of what evidence?

On the basis of what evidence? Oh God could you be any more of a goober?

No. This is you rolling your eyes.

I guess that means you have no evidence for any of your false accusations, then.

I guess I'll have to do what I haven't done in years: put someone on ignore.

That's a good way to insulate yourself from differing opinions. Enjoy your bubble.

...In addition, homosexuality was not seen as a lifestyle pattern in the ancient world by the Greek culture which surrounded the Levant. Homosexual acts were often excursions by ostensibly heterosexual married men.
Hmmm, not a lifestyle pattern but homosexual activity was common in some of the Greek city-states. However it was highly weighted toward active "top" activity or relationships where there was an age difference.

Leviticus is all about things that distinguish the "Chosen" from the pagans. That includes same-sex conduct and sodomy.

Suggesting that homosexual acts depressed birth rates is idiotic. That imputes to the ancients that homosexuality was a choice and would displace the organic incidence of heterosexuality in the general population. In addition, homosexuality was not seen as a lifestyle pattern in the ancient world by the Greek culture which surrounded the Levant. Homosexual acts were often excursions by ostensibly heterosexual married men.

Indeed, where I live, the more children a man has, the more he will tip the towel boy a few extra dirhams for a massage.

Makes sense. If you get the wife preggers every year, you better enjoy fucking others most of that time.
