theres no internet chatter on any of the usual sites that get active right before something happens

The duly elected Iraqi leader, al Maliki, said last week that American troops could go home and weren't needed.
Their govt just went en masse on a months vacation, which reflects their regard for our soldiers and concern for establishing a functional democracy.
Meanwhile Bush is pushing for another surge.
Didn't we have a "Cold War" over communism being forced on other nations?
Now we are forcing democracy, but since it's us it's automatically OK.
I have always preferred democracy over communism, but I don't see that it's democratic to force it on people who don't particulary want it.
