I've noticed that most male models, strippers and porn stars marketed to gay men look like they've spent a year bodybuilding before they began performing, and I know that most of the guys here - regardless of their body type - post some very muscular men in the "Post men you find hot" threads.


Am I the only gay guy who really isn't turned on by that body type?


I mean, sure. . .a toned guy definitely doesn't look bad, but six pack abs just do nothing for me. I prefer seeing a more average guy with his shirt off, personally. . .and I feel alone in this whenever i'm dealing with the gay scene.


So. . .let me know.

I am actually disappointed my favorite porn star has buffed up. He had a perfect body and ruined it.
 
Depends on how big the muscles are. I perfer guys who are cut, but I did the average bodies too.
 
Hell no you aren't alone. I'm attracted to all kinds of body types. I don't like big bulky muscles though. The typical ripped model covered in glistening oil does nothing for me. I agree with you. I'm more attracted to an average, fit body type that has definition but not overtly so.
 
To be honest, I'm not too worried about the body. I'm more of a face man.
 
I like muscular arms and maybe legs but not to the point where there's veins popping out everywhere. I'm not overly keen on six packs either or pecs that are so big they start to resemble breasts.
 
muscles are hot..but not in the bodybuilder, too big mass like in porn today...that's why i prefer amateur porns, their musculature is just nice, like they're done labour as day job...that is far more sexier..then again, i've always had athing for blue collar guys, lol.
 
I like the muscle guys that are like big teddy bears, ya know, the ones who are gentle and sweet. They have tyhe inner attire of a kitten bu the outer appearance or a fierce bear! I do sometimes like a guy with hair on his chest but when I say bear I mean he's built!

I also like twinks and men in between...but I HATE it when these muscle guys get in the scene just to fuck...kind of lame if you ask me. This is the type of muscle guy I could REALLY like!

I like muscles which are created naturally through life and living. . . not by spending hours and hours at the gym.
 
Fit yeah... toned yeah... muscle bound? No thanks...

I think its more the fact that to look like that they have to become pretty self absorbed... you cant do the work or suffer the hurt without that. And that is an even bigger turn off...
 
Well you're not the only gay guy who doesn't like muscles, but a lot of us do. I happen to like muscular men, whether it's just slight muscle or heavy muscle.
 
It depends as much on personality as anything. My first bf was skinny and my current bf is a former powerlifter. Luckily he never did steroids--that look is definitely a turnoff.
 
I like average men whether he's a chubby plumber or a skinny truck mechanic.
I did like one film of a massive body builder singlehandedly conquering a slightly-built twenty-something twink and taking what he wanted and another one of a bodybuilder passionately sucking off a skinny but masculine nerd and swallowing his load.
 
I prefer guys who are average or even more towards the skinny end of the spectrum.

Toned bodies are cool, but I don't like muscular guys - for example the kind you find in firemen calendars and stuff like that.

You're not alone by any means in not being attracted to muscular guys - however, the marketing and advertising execs don't seem to realise there's more than one body type gay men find attractive. The haven't grasped the idea that we're attracted to men because they're male, not because they're muscular and/or some kind of stereotype.
