American Horror Story: Coven

loved it! I had hoped that Bates and Lang would have scenes together and man oh man will they ever looks like they will team up for some scary fun. Watching those two great actresses chew up the scenery is going to be awesome.

Yeah this week's episode was fun to watch. I'm digging the comedy relief this season has. And who'd ever thunk that Stevie Nicks was a witch?

Cannot wait until I see this show I just hope they don't mess up like they did in S2 with the Aliens. Anyway It's 2 weeks away for me so going to avoid this thread for a while as River Song would say Spoilers.

I wonder why Coven isn't getting much attention here, compared to the last two seasons. This is turning out to be the best AHS in the series. Maybe it's because there haven't been any male bare ass shots yet. This week's episode was great with some funny one-liners. Won't spoil it but Lange's Fiona delivers the goods again.

That'd be why - I guess vagina power is icky, but admittedly I did not watch the last two seasons, so I myself am playing catch up to the series.

This stated, I love every episode so far, and am most interested to see if a war is going to brew between the witches and the voodoo queen.

I just started watching this series this season. I like it. It's dark and twisted but with a sprinkle of humor. I just wish it was on HBO or Showtime to get some naked guy scenes. Still, I'm quite delighted and surprised with what FX is actually showing.

Jessica Lange is fantastic in everything she does but Kathy Bates....OMG, this is as good as her Oscar winning role in Misery.

Jessica Lange, Angela Basset AND Kathy Bates. Fuck....the casting alone is reason to watch.

Last week was masterclass...the scenes with Lange and Basset...and then Bates and Lange...some of the best acting you are ever gonna see on TV.

Jessica Lange has been my favorite actress since the late 1970s...early 80s... so this is heaven for me.

^ I agree. This cast is incredible! Not only is Jessica Lange an evil bitch again but we got 2 more with Angela Bassette and Kathy Bates. I love all things magic so this is looking like my favorite season even though I loved the last two. That new neighbor guy is gorgeous and I hope he gets naked at some point.

I'm obsessed! The cast is a gay mans dream. Love the acting and there are so many quotable lines!

^completely agree.
This season is excellent.

I love Queenie.

just watched the first three episodes today and yesterday! I'll also chime in in saying this is better than season 2, which was all over the place. Man I wish Connie Britton could do a cameo - she'd give Jessica Lange and her character a run for her money.

I had a bit of a problem with the zombie thing this week...I wasn't buying it and there was nothing scary about it ...I felt like whoever wrote this was trying to capitalize on the popularity of The Walking Dead but it really bombed because there was no attention to details. I also thought Frances Conroy overacted a little bit. Maybe she was just "off" ....

Other than that....good episode.

I didn't understand why the Kathy Bates character has suddenly gone all "soft." Did I miss something? Just doesn't seem like she was the kind to suddenly have a change of heart. Ever.

I just realized the butler is Denis O'Hare *Russell Edgington* on True Blood! The long hair stopped me from recognizing him until this past episode.

I can't believe Madison was killed so early in the series. I'm hoping she is brought back somehow. So far, my favorite new show of this season. Also started watching Dracula on NBC, hoping it gets better. Cant wait for next weeks Coven!

I think Delphine has gone soft basically only with Fiona (or with anyone under Fiona's rule in the house). They have a common enemy with Marie. And she is still grieving her children who were hanged by Marie; which was the last thing she saw before being buried alive for 180 years.

Coven is the first season in which understand all the hype.. its an amazing bitchfest

Some good "reveals" happened tonight. It was a good but odd episode. The young witches are still kind of amateurish acting and Fiona is just all over the place. I never know what is going on with her from one minute to the next or what powers she actually has.
