American Horror Story: Coven

My favourite Season so far, but as usual Ryan Patrick cannot end a series well. As usual the Episode ended 15 Minutes in, and continued to go.

Too many character shafted, and unfulfilling ending, but a great season. So much fun. Well enjoyed.
I petition that Nan/Adelaide makes it through an entire season next time.

What saved this show for me is the characters with the exception of Zoe I cannot even remember her name as she played the same part that she did in the murder house. Each person plays a role so different I do not see them as their pervious characters. Not as scary as the last two seasons but the horror element was more shocking at times.

I was ticked off that Evan Peters didn't play a warlock, I understand the whole female empowerment in witches etc. but Warlocks have never really been studied. And why mention that Warlocks even exist if they are not to be used. Explaining Spalding a bit more would have been nice also WTF happened to the baby. The whole MTV thing with Stevie was just weird. Witch Hunters could have been developed more also how the f.... was the Axe man brought back to flesh. A flashback showing the way witches in the USA came about as Marie said by stealing from the voodoo could have also been a good storyline.

But it was still better than some of the tripe that has been on TV and I will watch S4 I just hope Jessica Lange is not the villain of the piece like she has been.

Started off great, but lost its way. After the break, things just seemed rushed. I was a bit disappointed with the ending, and thought that a lot more drama was going to happen. Oh well, still enjoyed it and I am looking forward to season 4 :)

A great ensemble (probably the best so far) but a poor storyline. Doesn't even come close to the other two series for me

I agree - the ending needed to have a bigger bang - kind of like the ending of 'Suspiria'

season 2 was just plain loopy

I am probably way behind on my TV viewing since I no longer have a satellite or receiver system.
"What's that?" you ask.
"Everyone is using Netflix these days" you say. Oh ok.

Anyway,

after having a rung through the entire season without missing a beat, I enjoyed it for the characters.
However, once I try to remember the storyline for the season, it was indeed a very muddled mess.
The focus shifted across different characters throughout, a lot of the complaints have been addressed above.
Underutilized characters, overuse of some others.
Sudden story developments that rendered character development down the toilet.
A sloppy ending which was phoned in, writing wise.

The writing was very subpar this season but the actors were what made it compelling to watch.
I hope they have a focused story for next season and bring back many of the actors as they were a joy to watch.

Bring back Josh Hamilton's ass. :D

Just like he said.

If they want to embrace the campy stuff... bring in a gay group of characters, could be gay warlock/witches fighting over hot guys. ROFL :D

Which is basically the last two seasons of True Blood!
I loved the premises of this series of AHS, but because I had very high expectations, it's the one that left me more disappointed.
We'll se next year!

Oh I hope gabby sibide comes back, she's superb.

So excited for the next season
