American Idol (Season 9) [merged]

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

HAHA! Yes, "Pants On The Ground" guy was verrrry funny. He had me in stitches.

"Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, looking like a fool wit yo' pants on the ground! Gold in yo' mouth, hat turned sideways, talking like a fool wit yo' pants on the ground!"

:rotflmao:

L.M.A.O!!! I seriously need this as a ring tone.

This guy make me smile. lol cute and sweet!
I loved his smile too. He was so shy in a super cute way and it was really funny when the jury tried to encourage him to be more assertive! :D

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

the whole song wherever it came from of "Pants on the Ground" played on one radio station in my city tonight. and he said, it was frequently requested today..

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I kind of swore to myself that after last year, I wasn't getting sucked in again. I'll watch the auditions just to see the idiots, but that's it. After Adam and Kris last year, I just can't see another season topping that.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

so excited to see Shania tonight!! :)

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I am seeing that it is lackluster in the audition process too. I haven't seen anyone in the auditions that I thought was really good. I am hoping that AI just isn't showing them, and we will see them in Hollywood.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I am in love with John Park, the Korean guy that got Shania Twain all hot and bothered.:D

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I'd like to see a behind the scenes documentary of how the AI auditions really work. Obviously it's a multi-stage process and the 4 AI judges don't judge all the thousands of hopefuls that you see filling up these huge stadiums. I heard to get to the judges that you must make it through 2 cuts of auditions in front of unnamed judges and producers. These preliminary judges obviously are instructed to let some really obnoxious, horrible people get through to the star judges just for television ratings purposes only. Most of those know they suck, and they know the AI system will give them some airtime on national television.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

The auditions are a joke and I'm shocked there are still so many people who honestly believe that the four judges actually sit at that table and judge all 10,000 people who line up to audition.

By the time the people get in front of the judges, the producers have whittled it down to just a couple hundred of the best and the worst. There are literally thousands of decent-to-good people who are turned away and never get a chance to be on the show despite the fact that they have the talent to make it.

That's exactly why I refuse to watch the show until they get to Hollywood. The auditions are nothing but a gimmick and mean nothing.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

They were Huntneo, I think Avril more-so than Katy. (Obviously opinion. I enjoy two of Avril's songs from when I was younger, I never saw much talent in her. :()

My mother was ticked off with Avril for the way she was speaking to the male pastor, or whatever he was, I wish I could remember.

I myself was thinking "Whoa Avril..." the way she was talking to him.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

On Tuesday's show, loved it, when the guy pulled his phone number out of his pocket, handed it to Ryan and told Ryan to call him.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I was never a huge Katy fan but I loved her on idol. She isnt all PC and sugary sweet. She actually has a real personality and a sarcastic sense of humor which I enjoy. Most celebrities dont show their personality at all and give perfectly publicist approved answers for everything. I find her realness refreshing. Plus she's fuckin hot as hell imo. Look at those funbags!`

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I will have to wait until Hollywood week to make a judgement on the contestants. So far, I really haven't seen anyone that is really good.

The producers need to show more of the guest judges. I know that Joe Jonas was on for one day, but all that was shown of him was just him saying Yeah.

I loved Neil Patrick Harris.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

^^^ - I feel the same way about Ellen. Don't really care what she has to say, and don't look forward to her comments. Just indifferent. Let's see if she gets better over the course of the season.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I think that Aaron Kelly is ok, but he won't go far. He is kinda like that Chicken Little kid from a few seasons back. Glad my hunk Casey James made it, I really like how he has his hair now.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

I can't hear Casey James without thinking of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character Casey Jones. Also I'm off put at their continued attempts to make a man with a long drunk driving record seem like the victim of an automobile crash.

Re: American Idol (Season 9)

It was the worst season ever and had the most failed top 4 ever.

I agree. The last season was the worst.

The top 13 was incredibly weak, barring a few.

There were quite a few singers in the Top 36 (but failed to progress further) who were better than those in the Top 13.
