And the profits made go back to their home countries. They don't stay in the US.
"Home country" is a misnomer for most huge corporations these days; a country is to them merely a legal entity they have to pay attention to because they don't have their own private armies (yet).
BTW, if the TPP and its ilk pass, "home country" will mean even less because corporations would be handed the authority to sue nations for laws that interfered with their profits. Corporations, not nations, would be moved to the top of the political structure.
