Americans millions of unemployed males.

And the profits made go back to their home countries. They don't stay in the US.

"Home country" is a misnomer for most huge corporations these days; a country is to them merely a legal entity they have to pay attention to because they don't have their own private armies (yet).

BTW, if the TPP and its ilk pass, "home country" will mean even less because corporations would be handed the authority to sue nations for laws that interfered with their profits. Corporations, not nations, would be moved to the top of the political structure.

Yeah, just like Trans Canada is suing the US for $16 billion for lost future profits because Obama nixed the Keystone pipeline.

Yep. Under present conditions, that's a fight. If the TPP goes into effect, it would be a slam-dunk.

And Nestle is suing states over water-conservation laws (it sees no problem with draining an aquifer for profit, leaving behind a desert because all the wells went dry).

I have to wonder if those pushing the TPP recognize that the real winners would be the lawyers.

No green card, no social security registration...no offer of employment. It's that simple.

He (Benvolio) makes this shit up. You can't get a legal above the table job without having a social security card. Now do above the table employers break the law, yes. To get almost any entitlement benefit you must produce certain paperwork, proof of state residency, bank accts, etc.
For a so called lawyer he is totally ignorant as to any factual federal, state, and local laws. He is a pawn and blabbermouth for far right propaganda and would crumble in a real high school debate, he would get kicked off the team for bullshit and lying.

The 'judges' in said 'court' are not actual judges. They're corporate lawyers.

Your assertion here is not borne out by the reality of Japanese, and Korean car corporations manufacturing their products in the United States. That Toyota, and Kia are happy to operate car plants in the United States indicates that they are happy with the labour costs, and taxes that enables them to compete with Ford, and General Motors.

The relative quality ratings for Japanese brands assembled in the USA and Thailand are lower than for Japanese assembled vehicles.

Likewise BMW suffered a minor scandal when revealing they offered lowered safety specifications for vehicles assembled in South East Asia than Europe. Many companies have decided they can trade off branding, advertising and design over reliability. Short term thinking that undermines skilled workforces and eventually brand loyalty.

Benvolio has established his reputation here employing Sophistic argumentation, in an attempt to score points.

You correctly remind us that facts speak louder than skilfully used words.

If our government had entered into these lop sided trade "deals" in the '50's this nation would have had massive boycotts and strikes, Back in the 90's when NAFTA, GATT, WTO and the deal with Red China were shoved up our asses, I had letters appearing in our local paper every Sunday warning of the inevitable consequences of these wonderful deals.

But hell, we had a democrat in the White House, why, they protect the worker... don't they? I was told more than once that I was worrying for nothing, it would be fine.

When I addressed my congressman at our district meeting about it, he blew me off, he wouldn't answer any questions.

Sometimes a guy hates being right.

Both my Senators voted for CAFTA, against my strong objections. If they vote for TPP, the Democratic party has lost me for good.

I joined the Democratic Socialists of America some time ago.
It's time to throw the bastards out, both sides. To shove Hillary in my face with that asshole husband of hers standing there with his fucked grin on his ugly face is an insult.

What if he peed on you? :p

I believe the sob did, but not in the style that I find to be erotic:mad:

I looked at your profile, and it isn't specific to your yellow shower fantasies, so maybe he simply misread you?

Of course now that Bill is 70 years old, his prostate may only allow him to give you an on/off, on/off, on/off, shower these days?

There are some Democrats that I like. But the list is getting shorter.

Trump may be a bastard, but he is not one of THOSE bastards; they don't like him.
