^awesome luminum. thanks for sharing. those articles definitely made me love celia even more. i know she'll have some great modeling opportunities ahead of her -
celia actually reminds me of a nicer-version of C7 melrose. both knew alot about the industry, both had amazing walks, both had beautiful poise and were well-spoken -
the one thing celia has going against her, though, is her somewhat mannish face - but, hey, all the other stuff going for her can make up for that.
so - i gotta say, allison's walk definitely blew me away. i agree with moe that mckey's walk sucked ass (but her walk has always been stiff and uninspiring).
but i'm with yeahwhatever on allison's walk - girl pulled it out, even during the samba/dance walk, she loosened up and did a little shake in front of miss jay).
she seriously pulled it together, and i felt like a proud papa watching her on the runway. she looked like a real, working model. i honestly thought she'd have the same wonky walk that she's had throughout the cycle.
i agreed with the judges (for once) - allison really surprised me, and - in my opinion - even upstaged teyona.
don't get me wrong - teyona's walk has always been good (although, i personally thought aminat and celia had better walks than teyona - with celia edging aminat out for best walk this cycle, given her poise and personality), but teyona was just too serious for me. and teyona's walk, while good, wasn't exactly memorable or signature.
i agree with moe that teyona's a step-up from past winners like suckleisha and whitney, but it just irks me that she was literally handed this win on a silver platter. and what makes it worse is that tyra continued to congratulate her for all her "hard work" and amazing photos -
it's like - please. teyona could've sat around and done nothing, and you still would've given her the win. sure she worked hard, but so did the other girls. and beyond that, the judges gave her so many free passes that it was ridiculous (she really should've been eliminated after that CG ad/photo - horrendous).
the other thing about teyona that's bothersome is that she's totally inarticulate. did anyone else cringe when she started talking in the finale montage about how much she like wanted to like be a like model for like forever, like that's what she's like always like wanted - like, yeah.
ugh.
as much as tyra has gone on about how antm needs to be a great spokesperson, she clearly turned a blind eye/deaf ear towards teyona.
does anyone else remember cycle 6, when tyra gave dani hell for having a southern accent?
at least dani was coherent and spoke full sentences. teyona - whoa. it's like, pick a topic and say something coherent.
but, whatevs - that's how the cookie crumbles.
and- yeah, it was nice to see paulina show a little dissent during the last two judgings. restored my faith in her, but then i realized she was fired.
good for her, though, for going on the late late show to talk about what happened. she was actually pretty professional, but at the same time, very biting.
but yeah - how sheisty that they fired her on her birthday. tyra's ego is too big for her own good.
