At the time, they were planning a docuseries based on the scandal involving Richard Strauss, a former sports physician at Ohio State who’s accused of sexually abusing more than 300 athletes over decades of working at and with the university. The HBO project will be a feature-length documentary....

The untitled documentary is based on an October 2020 Sports Illustrated story by Jon Wertheim that detailed some of the many allegations against Strauss, including those made by former All-American wrestler and UFC champion Mark Coleman and other athletes, student trainers and employees at a private clinic Strauss headed. Coleman also alleges that Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio State assistant wrestling coach for part of Strauss’ time at the university, knowingly ignored Strauss’ abuse.

My father got dementia and forgot that he was an asshole. For the first time, he was fun to be with. I’m glad I got to see him like that, when he had turned into this little creature who was cheerful and said things you didn’t expect. Part of the change was that he’d always just watched Fox News and conservative talk shows, bathing in that day and night. But the television was complicated in his assisted living facility so he was without it, and, for the first time, he wasn’t filled with rage. The question was: did he change? Or is that who he really was, and it was smothered in layers of rage and frustration that peeled away at the end?

I have posted this before as well but again I have a thing about my news. I am definitely on the left BUT I do not want to know the political stances or POV of any newscasters or channels which includes Fox and MSNBC. It is the reason I watch ABC World News Tonight as I haven't a clue what David Muir's political leanings are and I appreciate that.

I also watch THIS WEEK where political stances of the panelists are well known BUT it is not a news show - it is a debate and discussion show with each panelist coming from their own political perspective so it is OK because it is what they say it is and don't pretend they are a news show - they discuss the news. There is a difference.
