The Republican-controlled Arizona state House has voted to expel a far-right first-term representative after the lawmaker invited a conspiracy theorist to testify during an election integrity hearing ― only for the witness to falsely accuse judges, lawmakers and other public servants across the state of being bribed by Mexican cartels...

No doubt Fucker will see this as some kind of despicable retaliation.

I have to ask... which is the deplorable: the woman with the Rolls in Palm Beach or the hedge fund manager who can blow $3 million on a backyard statue (his hedge fund owns $2.5 billion of Puerto Rico’s debt) or Damien Hirst for putting out a work that looks like a cat urped on it?

I am sure that the conspiracy nuts will just claim this is proof of the extent of the conspiracy.

Some needs to lock these mentally ill Schedule One patients away for everyone's safety.

You can throw out Black legislators for nothing at all in the most racist and retrograde manner possible and it's justified and "natural" to put them in their place - but throw out a crazy nutjob pushing outright lies and trying to disenfranchise millions and you have crossed the LINE!

They are in fact, exactly the same bigotry. Hypocrisy is the 'pubby platform.

So... has one of your friends bought your mama's house, fixed it up and let her live there?

In 2014, one of Texas billionaire Harlan Crow’s companies purchased a string of properties on a quiet residential street in Savannah, Georgia. It wasn’t a marquee acquisition for the real estate magnate, just an old single-story home and two vacant lots down the road. What made it noteworthy were the people on the other side of the deal: Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his relatives.

The transaction marks the first known instance of money flowing from the Republican megadonor to the Supreme Court justice. The Crow company bought the properties for $133,363 from three co-owners — Thomas, his mother and the family of Thomas’ late brother, according to a state tax document and a deed dated Oct. 15, 2014, filed at the Chatham County courthouse.

The purchase put Crow in an unusual position: He now owned the house where the justice’s elderly mother was living. Soon after the sale was completed, contractors began work on tens of thousands of dollars of improvements on the two-bedroom, one-bathroom home, which looks out onto a patch of orange trees. The renovations included a carport, a repaired roof and a new fence and gates, according to city permit records and blueprints.

I nearly posted the same thing. Maybe the woman in the Rolls was mortally and aesthetically offended.

I would really, really like to think so, but she reportedly can't remember a thing about the incident or the lead-up to it, and the police did not think she was drunk. I suspect Ambien.

All of them, of course.

This sort of story isn't usually what we put in this thread, but everyone involved seemed so deplorable that I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

As for Damien Hirst, I am always mildly shocked when I come across an artwork of his that I find beautiful, but I've encountered several lately.
I may post one or two in the Magnificent Splendour thread.

Hypocrisy is the 'pubby platform.

Deceit is the 'pubby platform. Hypocrisy is its outcome. Republican hypocrisy is rooted in deceit. They have no conscience about deceit, therefore they have no shame about hypocrisy.

She's just craftier than you give her credit for...

She also managed to minimize damage to her Rolls.

And of course, we know that he knows his term limits bill is designed to fail...on purpose.

So it is even worse than mere hypocrisy...it is cunning and cynical and purposeful.

I'm willing to bet cash that if Ted changes the verbiage, it will pass.

...bill limiting senators named Ted Cruz to two terms in office while running for his third term

Today's contestant for Most Craziest State: Missouri. Where some Missouri House members believe that 12 year olds aren't mature enough to decide whether they are trans but they also believe 12 year olds are mature enough to marry adults.
