Figures.

The pro-life party are just hypocrites.

^The same COVID denier who altered the results of a study that did not support his false premise that the COVID vaccine posed significant cardiac risk for young men. Other studies have shown that the risk of COVID-related myocarditis is 11 times higher in unvaccinated patients compared to those who received the vaccine: Ladapo has publicly claimed otherwise.

He [Ladapo] was also a supporter of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug that former President Donald Trump often praised as a treatment for Covid. The FDA later withdrew for its use.

Ladapo drew criticism in part because he was affiliated with the conservative America’s Frontline Doctors, a group founded to fight Covid restrictions by anti-vaccine advocate Simone Gold. Ladapo devoted an entire chapter to his friendship with Gold in a memoir he published last year titled “Transcend Fear.”

Yet the researchers who viewed a copy of the edits said Ladapo removed an important analysis that would have contradicted his recommendation. Daniel Salmon, director of the Institute for Vaccine Safety at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, called Ladapo’s changes “really troubling.”

“He took out stuff that didn’t support his position,” Salmon said. “That’s really a problem.”

I can only imagine there was a big payday for the Ladapo somewhere along the line. Probably had shares in hydroxychloroquine.

"America's Frontline Doctors" weren't just an activist group- they were using the liberalization of the telemedicine laws during the COVID pandemic to prescribe horse dewormer to patients in exchange for an office visit.

One of the most visible doctors, Simone Gold MD was sent to prison for her participation in the Jan 6th riots. She is also being sued by her former colleagues for embezzling millions of dollars from the organization in order to buy a $3.6 million mansion in Florida.

He's getting paid half a mil a year for his government job and a tenured position at the University of Florida, both gotten politically by way of Ronda.

Which we have been saying here in this forum for years. It is not an excuse or exclamation anymore. It is an admission.
Americans have been sold this nonsense for decades. One of the classics is that insulin was invented in Toronto, Canada and Banting and Best gave away the patent for a dollar.

Americans pay ridiculously more for their insulin because of the insurance industry in the US which knows it can milk government for billions.

Since that time, cable television has been inundated with commercials every 15 minutes for these high cost drugs. Yet, some still claim that the price is to recover R&D costs.

Odd that the prices are never reduced after they have recovered those R&D costs.

Prices are reduced when a) another manufacturer releases a biosimilar medication that is priced lower, b) another drug comes on the market that is more effective or c) the medication patent expires and generic manufacturers enter the market with a lower-priced version.

^ Still, imagine how cheap the prices could be if they eliminated all of those stupid advertisements, especially when they don't even tell the audience what their medication is for.
