I must have missed the House Committee hearing about the "Cramer Crime Family"...

The adult son of North Dakota Sen. Kevin Cramer was sentenced to serve 28 years in prison Monday in connection with a wild chase in which he fled from a hospital and drove into a deputy’s vehicle, killing the deputy.

Ian Cramer, 43, pleaded guilty in September to all of the charges against him, including homicide while fleeing a peace officer, preventing arrest, reckless endangerment, fleeing an officer and drug- and driving-related offenses. Those charges related to a December 6, 2023, chase and crash that killed Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputy Paul Martin, 53.

State District Judge Bobbi Weiler handed down the sentence of 38 years with 10 years suspended, three years of probation and credit for over a year served in jail. She also included recommended treatment for addiction and mental health. But he likely won’t serve the full 28 years, the judge said.

This one fell under the radar because, thankfully, they picked him up for a different charge while he was still planning more crimes. His attorney's defense was "Well, he didn't actually kill anyone. He was just thinking about killing a bunch of people."

From the summary of the proceedings, it looks like the judge has long ago run out of patience. Giuliani lost his NY residence to the plaintiffs and he has given them the keys but has been dragging his feet on giving them the deed which they would need to put the property on the market.

Giuliani owns a condo in Florida near the Dear Leader's hotel residence. Giuliani is trying to keep that condo, claiming that it is a homestead and his primary residence. Because of Giuliani's defiance of the judge, the Court is laying the groundwork for Giuliani to lose the Florida condo, too.

Giuliani is going to end up in jail, penniless.

They never learn. Everything Trump touches dies.

I see that. As of now, the site is already flooded with ugly far right META bot and Kremlin troll bot pages intended to drive people apart on social issues, racism, misogyny, anti-trans hate and on and on.

More and more, I spend my time on JUB and Bluesky...the latter because many of the people I used to follow on FB are now shifted over to that platform and the right wing hate speech and Kremlinbots are kept out.

This is hard. There are several things on Facebook that are not political that I use it for. I've pretty much cleared out the politics. But if they start forcing it into my feed again, I guess I'll have to delete my account.

Meta sells your personal data which is how they make a significant portion of their money. Anything you post there and your private messages will end up in an online face search.

Most people I know got off Facebook a while back because of their inability to control what content gets into their feed. It was sold to everyone as a "place to keep in touch with friends!" but it long ago stopped being that. It's about to turn into X as just another sewer full of Russian bots and right wing disinformation.
 
Well at this point, META has choked the feed to one or two pages at a time, so it has become almost worthless, even to follow some content creators who are still left or to connect with family when they post photos.
