And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

The Kentucky Legislature has noticed that McConnell is looking more ashen every day.

That's a lawsuit. If the veto stands the trogs will sue, if it's over-ridden the Dems will sue. There is going to be a whole lot of litigation in the next to years.

Anyway, whoever they appoint isn't going to be Moscow Mitch - not that he looks to go anywhere, anytime soon.

I have some mixed feelings on this one.

Other States do have laws that say that in the event of the retirement or death of a Congressperson, the governor must appoint someone from the same party.

What I don't like about this is 1) McConnell was re-elected in 2020, at age 78, for another 6 year term, 2) before the election McConnell had a series of health issues that he did not fully disclose to his constituents and 3) now that he's re-elected, the Kentucky Republicans want to change the rules because they know he's circling the drain.

Kentucky really needs to do some self-examination. Both of their Senators seem to be in Washington to be a full-time obstacle to getting anything done. Rand Paul is nuttier than a squirrel turd.

I used to think I'd never wish illness or mortality on other people, but then the last four years happened.

Repeated for truth.

I don't have that many more years to live and I don't believe in Hell. Or Karma. Or any other claptrap.

So I have no problem wishing the evil sick and dead in the most gruesome ways.

I think most of us would like to return to a world where men (and it usually is a man) who lie, embezzle money, cheat on their taxes, have affairs, sexually assault women, have sex with underage people, et al, get the punishment they deserve...instead of being pardoned ... instead of earning billions of dollars ... instead of getting elected to political office... instead of retiring to a golf resort.

I'm not sure that world ever existed. Alas, the toad's list of corruption just gets longer. Now they are looking at how many other countries other than Ukraine the toad tried to use Rudi to extort.

Somewhere in my edumacation I was confronted with the idea that what we call inalienable rights is a collective aspiration, and actually we only have the rights we can defend. Unfortunately that seems to be the bandage the 'pubs have ripped off, and I see far too many people not trying to defend.

Liz Cheney's Republican primary challenger:

Wyoming state senator running against Cheney for House seat reveals he impregnated 14-year-old when he was 18 [CNN]
A Republican Wyoming state senator who's running against US Rep. Liz Cheney for her House seat told a local newspaper he impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18-years-old after he referenced the incident during a Facebook Live stream.

Anthony Bouchard told the Casper Star-Tribune newspaper on Thursday he married the girl after she turned 15 when they were both living in Florida...

He said this disclosure won't stop him from running for office.

^ It will probably make him a hero in Wyoming.

Apparently Hillary is a baby eating lizard alien. You'd think there would have been a congressional hearing about that.

And then there's always Mike Lindell, the coked up pillow fetishist.

Seems that he managed to get a lawyer turfed out of his firm after filing a lawsuit against Dominion Voting systems that he swears will make the Supreme Court overturn the election results 9-0.

As the article notes:

It won't, because 1) he sued private parties that don't have the power to do that even if the court ordered it and; 2) he's only seeking monetary damages.

I assume this was just another stunt to get deplorable Trumpists to buy his deplorable pillows.
