And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

Trump hires the best people.

It's incredibly embarrassing for a Federal Attorney to be unable to get a grand jury indictment.

Pirro’s office fails three times to win felony indictment of alleged attacker of FBI agent

The US attorney’s office in Washington, DC, that’s run by Donald Trump-appointee Jeanine Pirro has struggled to secure a grand jury’s approval of at least one indictment in federal court this month, in an indication of possible issues arising with the office’s crackdown on crime.

In one case this month — related to an FBI agent and an immigration officer allegedly scrapping with a detainee — the federal grand jury in Washington voted “no” three times.

The court record doesn’t say why the grand jury refused to approve the felony assault charge against DC resident Sydney Lori Reid each time it was presented over the past month, after she was arrested in late July for assaulting or impeding federal officers.

The war continues...

I can't keep up.

There are so many Republican politicians and evangelical pastors getting charged with sex crimes that it's difficult to keep up with the volume.

This one was a youth pastor in Maryland. Thomas Pinkerton, age 52. He was arrested in Georgia and charged with 42 counts of sexual abuse, including charges involving abuse of a minor.

Thomas Pinkerton, 52, has been charged with multiple sexual offenses that occurred between 2006 and 2010, Baltimore County Police Department (BCPD) said in a news release Aug. 7.

During the timeframe of the alleged abuse, Pinkerton worked at Central Christian Church in Baltimore, BCPD said. Officials believe the abuse occurred at the church and at Pinkerton’s home in Baltimore County.

Here's a shocker: a priest arrested for trying to entice a female into having sex. Not a shocker: he believed he was meeting with a 14 year old girl.

Rev Andrew Showers, age 37, has been "restricted" by the Catholic Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, pending resolution of the charges. Showers has served in several churches in Wisconsin for the past 8 years.

A priest from Madison who was arrested in Clintonville has been restricted from exercise of public ministry, Madison diocesan officials say.

Clintonville police say Andrew Showers, 37, was arrested Sunday night. Officers allege he traveled to Clintonville to meet a 14-year-old girl and engage in sexual activity.

Twenty-two years. That's how long former pastor James McMillan, age 53, has been under investigation for sex crimes. Until recently, he was still a free man.

McMillan had been the pastor of several Baptist churches in Oklahoma. He was accused of exposing himself to underage girls, including unzipping his pants while in a car with a teenage girl. He was rearrested after a father of a 14 year old girl filed a complaint that McMillan had sent his daughter a nude picture of himself over Snapchat. McMillan made bond. It took 4 arrests in the past year before McMillan was held in jail.

James McMillan, the former pastor of Slaughterville Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Konawa in Oklahoma, who was arrested last month after he was accused of lewd or indecent acts with a child younger than 16, was arrested again on Monday for allegedly sending a nude photo of himself to a 14-year-old girl.

McMillan’s most recent arrest stems from an incident that happened in March 2023, KFOR reported. He is no longer pastoring at any church.

Citing court documents, the 14-year-old’s father said his daughter told him about the photo McMillan sent her and he reported him to local police. It wasn't until he reached out to an Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics officer in October that he saw any action on the case.

Former Oklahoma Pastor James McMillan was arrested for a fourth time after the Cleveland County District Attorney says he violated his bond.

According to an inmate list provided by the Cleveland County Detention Center, McMillan was arrested a fourth time, last Thursday, August 14.

It's not unusual for alcoholics to be in leadership in the Federal Government. The jobs are stressful and the culture of the capitol does encourage social drinking.

However, most of these Federal Government leaders haven't been parodied on SNL for being a drunk.

Nor are most US Attorneys the former spouse of a convicted criminal.

Jeanine Pirro was going to be fired from Fox News back in 2020 but Donald Trump intervened and she was allowed to remain on the network. When Mango Mussolini returned to the White House, Pirro was hired to be the US Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Discovery for the Smartmatic lawsuit against Fox News has discovered that Pirro's weekend Fox program, where she endlessly praised Donald Trump, may have been a vehicle for Pirro to obtain a pardon for her husband.

Smartmatic Filing Details Ex-Fox News Host Jeanine Pirro’s Desire To Boost Donald Trump In 2020 And Her Efforts To Secure Pardon For Ex-Husband

In a September, 2020 text message that Pirro sent to Ronna McDaniel, who was then chair of the Republican National Committee, the Fox News host wrote, “I work so hard for the party across the country… I’m the # 1 watched show on all news cable all weekend. I work so hard for the President and party…”

Smartmatic also claimed that Pirro sought a pardon from Trump for her ex husband, Al Pirro, including by speaking to the president’s son, Eric, Rudy Giuliani and Bernie Kerik.

At one point, according to the Smartmatic filing, she spoke with Eric Trump because she “was upset” when she thought the president would not grant a pardon.

Albert Pirro, was convicted in 2000 on 34 counts of conspiracy and tax evasion after he was found to have improperly deducted over $1 million in lavish personal expenses as a tax write-off for his business. Al Pirro served 17 months in a Federal prison.

With less than an hour before his term ended, President Donald Trump on Wednesday granted one final pardon to Albert Pirro, a longtime New York businessman and the ex-husband of Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro, one of Trump’s staunchest cable news supporters.

What was possibly Trump’s final act as president reflected a recurring theme in his final months in office: delivering clemencies to scores of personal friends and political allies.

The decision to pardon Pirro came less than 12 hours after what was thought to be a final batch of 143 pardons and commutations -- a list that included Steve Bannon, Trump's former chief strategist.

The Pirros had a rather tumultuous history as a married couple:

Another fucking mess of a human being.

But I get the sense she isn't likely to be very effective in her new position.

I don't know why one of the networks isn't putting together a "Veep" type show that uses the actual insanity of Washington like South Park has. It would be fun to see Cicely Strong in a weekly series, :-)

Cracker Barrel.

Apparently they are going to double down on attracting bubbas until they go broke.

Anyone else think the re-brandig was a false flag to get all the rednecks who drifted away from eating there over the last decade because of their prices back through the doors?

Susan Collins.

For rolling out her familiar playbook of pointing out to Maine voters heading into an election year clear abuses of power by Trump,
solely to create an illusion of independence, while doing absolutely nothing about it.

Joni Ernst.

Of the 'We're all going to die" school of Republicanism.

Who may be seeing the writing on the wall.

So the new head of the CDC, a man with no medical education or expertise is another one of Thiel's literal bum boys?
