She's back. Expect "alternative facts" from the Republican House members.

I guess the reality show fell through... or she still has more "dental work" bills she's gotta pay off.

...Mark McCloskey—the disgraced former lawyer who went viral after he and his wife pointed guns at Black Lives Matter protesters outside their home in St. Louis in June 2020—shared a promotional post featuring Vanilla Ice’s name and image on Thursday...But on Thursday evening, Vanilla Ice’s management made it unequivocally clear that their client was not supporting McCloskey’s campaign...

It's pretty sad when you feel the need to hijack Vanilla Ice.

That is why he deserves to lose everything.

OOOhhhhhh Jon is an angry daddy with a dirty mouth.

He's about to be an angrier daddy. The Republicans fistbumped and patted each other on the back yesterday after blocking passage of the veteran's healthcare bill. Veteran's groups are pissed because the estimates are that up to 20% of those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan (including Beau Biden) may have been exposed to burn pits while in service.

Pure garbage.

Jon Stewart is the man of the moment and will hopefully do more damage to the GQP hacks than a burn pit.

I have never understood why vets are not just automatically eligible for all of their healthcare. I'd include their spouses (spice?) and kids as well.

Or better yet, can we just have single payer already?

I have never understood why vets are not just automatically eligible for all of their healthcare. I'd include their spouses (spice?) and kids as well.

That's a very good question.

Ask any veteran if they are happy with the VA system they will tell you they like their doctors and nurses but they hate the red tape and the long waits. The PACT Act is intended to get rid of the red tape and the wait for a special class of veterans who had exposure to toxic chemicals and radiation while in service.

So, the rule is that veterans of the military are eligible for VA benefits if they served in active duty for 24 continuous months and were honorably discharged.

What is happening with these younger guys who are age 30 to 40, they are disabled and they have to prove that their disability was as a result of their service.

This happens all the time: you get sick, you apply for benefits, you get turned down or get placed in a lower priority and you have to appeal repeatedly to get benefits. These guys have cancer. They die before their appeal gets heard.

The PACT Act changes the qualification requirement. If these men and women served, were discharge honorably and they were in one of the locations that had is known to have toxic chemical or radiation exposure, they are assumed to be eligible immediately and they are given priority so that they get treatment immediately.

And speaking of underage girls...

It seems that screenshots of text message discussions between Joel Greenberg and Roger Stone have surfaced. The discussions were about a "congressman from Florida’s 1st Congressional District", underage girls and transfers of $250,000 to Roger Stone to buy a Presidential pardon from Trump.

Just a reminder.

JK Rowling really could have just remained a wealthy, beloved author for the rest of her life.

And she chose Twitter instead.

But it wouldn't surprise me.

I'll give you half of the attribution:

Hitler said it in a speech in Passau on 27-Oct-1928. You can find the quote on page 60 in Holy Reich: Nazi conceptions of Christianity, 1919–1945 by Richard Steigmann-Gall.

I'm sure the MTG quote can be found on Twitter or YouTube but I would rather read through Hitler's speeches than spend another minute listening to MTG.

MTG just said the other day "We should be Christian Nationalists". While not the same identical words, the meaning is pretty damn close.

Alex Jones says he filed for bankruptcy so his appeal bond on the Sandy Hook judgment will now only be half his net worth, allowing him to tie it up for years and stay on the air.

Josh Hawley has a book coming out this week.

(pause for laughter)

The title of the book is "Manhood".

(Another pause while everyone catches their breath after laughing hysterically)

That's going to keep a lot of late night comedy writers busy for a few days.

In the meantime, you can entertain yourself by going into your local Barnes and Noble and asking, "I can't find Josh Hawley's Manhood? Do you have it?".

Or "I was going trying to get through Josh Hawley's Manhood this weekend, thank god it was really short!"

Let the memes begin.

A review by AJ Rimmer? This has to be a parody. It's getting harder and harder to tell reality from parody on the far right.

Colbert already pre-empted Hawley by suggesting another title:
