Two summers ago we started a support group for people released from jail, we set up tents across the street and paid bonds for nonviolent offenders and offered, food, legal counsel, rides home and hotels for people released from jail. It was a community effort with donations coming from Black Lives Matter affiliates and local businesses and restaurants. Before the sheriff shut us down and arrested everybody in an ego-strike there was "Trump guy." For no fucking reason this dude would drive past us with a huge Trump banner and harass us during protests and operations. He'd park his car and walk past us mocking us, totally unprovoked.

Needless to say I got my revenge when Trump lost. He stopped coming around but we found him on the other side of town and I started "NA NA NA NA HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE" chants any time I saw him. Point being, we were just trying to help people and protest judicial reform and he had no reason to taunt us other than racial resentment and homophobia. A lot of the volunteers were rainbow gang and he'd shout slurs and BS about "He not she" or whatever, I missed that part but I heard about it. The far right are so petty spiteful and vindictive and that's why it's super infuriating when people try to lump the left into that category. Our version of "extremism" is inclusion and equality. Ooooo so terrible!
