And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

It's the Wisconsin thing, the trogs no longer care, they are already saying they are going to impeach the new Wisconsin SC justice, they are going to expel these people, why? Because there is no rule of law where Republicans control the state.

That is exactly what they have planned for all of us.

Resolutions have been filed against Reps. Gloria Johnson, Justin Jones and Justin Pearson after they led chants from the House floor with supporters in the gallery last Thursday. The resolution declared that the three had participated in “disorderly behavior" and “did knowingly and intentionally bring disorder and dishonor to the House of Representative
Irony was already dead now they're just pissing on the corpse and taking selfies with it

Case in point:

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Republican state lawmakers in Montana are advancing legislation that would alter next year’s U.S. Senate primary in an apparent bid to thwart the reelection of Sen. Jon Tester, one of several Democrats on the ballot in GOP-leaning states...

The party of family values.

On Friday a Minnesota jury found #GOP strategist, donor & founder of Big Tent #republicans Anton #lazzaro guilty of sex trafficking children.

Ah, from the state of Tennessee: A member of the Tennessee House who is yet another child-molesting teacher.

Rep David Byrd, a Republican of course, was an anti-masker. He got COVID. He spent nearly 2 months on a ventilator. He had to have a liver transplant. He refused to resign from the House after he was caught on tape apologizing to his former female students who he molested.

Tennessee state Rep. David Byrd was recorded apologizing to one of two former students who accused him of molesting them when he was a girls’ high school basketball coach in the 1980s.

“I can promise you one thing, I have been so sorry for that,” he says in a recording that surfaced along with the allegations in 2018. “I’ve lived with that and you don’t know how hard it has been for me.”

A third student charged that he had attempted to molest her. But Byrd never admitted nor explicitly denied what the three alleged, saying only, “I have done nothing wrong or inappropriate during my term as state representative.”

Of course he refused to resign. Why would he? Republicans wouldn't make him and dems would just pretend the house isn't on fire as per usual.

A reminder of a previous post about the guy who was the Tennessee House Speaker in the last session (yet another molester).

Glen Casada to resign as speaker in coming weeks [The Tennessean]
Rep. Glen Casada, Cade Cothren sent sexually explicit text messages about women [The Tennessean]

Speaker Casada's fall from grace came after allegations that he sent a series of text messages that:
  • solicited oral sex and naked photos from a female intern,
  • suggested he would make sexual advances toward another intern,
  • sought sex with a lobbyist;
  • referred to another woman as a “cunt”; and
  • called Metro police officers who gave him parking tickets “rent a cop cocksuckers.”

Once again, Clarence and Ginni Thomas

Republican Donor Harlan Crow has been giving millions of dollars to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife Ginni Thomas for over 20 years, off the books, under the table.

There is no way that Roberts did not know about this. And he will do nothing. And Thomas will refuse to resign.

Nature's gonna have to take its course with Thomas, there's so many things to protest in the US i don't =think anyone has the energy to try to take down a SC justice.

If there are enough gains in Congress is 2 years, there is a possibility. You'd have to look at the Senate map to see what's up for grabs and plan accordingly. Thomas is easily the most vulnerable. If someone other than the toad is the trog candidate that's not likely, however, but if they nominate the toad, the chances go up.

i suspect Roberts wants him gone as badly as the rest of us.

Roberts would prop up Thomas's dead body rather than let the GQP owners of SCOTUS lose a seat to a liberal judge before 2024 when the Repubes likely win back the Oval Office.

Roberts is concerned about Roberts and his vanishing "legacy." The Roberts court already has enough slime on its face, I can pretty much guarantee that Roberts doesn't want an outright influence-peddling scandal on top of everything else. The thing about lifetime appointments is that he doesn't have to care about the horde and the trogs, who are not the ones who put him on the court and are not going to try and remove him for all of your reasons.

Although they don't like him either.

I hope you are right...Uncle Thomas has had decades of skating away from exposure of his and his wife's corruption.

Roberts only has Roberts to blame for his vanishing legacy...although it was never really that great to begin with.

Ehhh, Roberts will have no say in whether or not Uncle Thomas is removed. He'd have to get the rest of the trogs on the court to agree to some kind of censure or sanction of Thomas, that's not going to happen either. Roberts is not in control of the Roberts court. Another moderate or Liberal on the court would give him back control. He'd be the swing vote and the rest would have to pay attention to him.

But it doesn't matter, the fate of the Roberts court will depend on how things go in Congress. It's not likely in any event that there will be enough Senators. I can see gaining enough in the House, but you'd need 2/3 of the Senate, and that's not very plausible. Who knows, nothing is operating according to norms these days.

No one expected the Dems to keep the Senate last year.

"Supreme Court Justices must be held to an enforceable code of conduct, just like every other federal judge. The ProPublica report is a call to action, and the Senate Judiciary Committee will act," Senator Durbin vowed.

Well Dick...what'r'ya gonna do?

They won't vote to turf him. Because then the GQP will just start turning around when it is their turn to try to turf out liberal judges...like the discussion we've been having about the Wisconsin state supreme court and SCOTUS will become totally politicized.

At most, the Committee will issue some sort of mild censure that Thomas will ignore because it has no bearing on an already horrific judicial legacy and reputation. And the billionaires will keep buying off the right wing judges.

Honestly, he should have been a #metoo casualty, instead of liberals going after each other.

Well, you've hit on the only possible thing Congress could do, barring impeachment. Punish the money.

That won't happen either.

It always comes back to votes.
