Thomas had taken legal custody of Martin when he was 6 years old and had recently told an interviewer he was “raising him as a son.”

Tuition at the boarding school ran more than $6,000 a month. But Thomas did not cover the bill. A bank statement for the school from July 2009, buried in unrelated court filings, shows the source of Martin’s tuition payment for that month: the company of billionaire real estate magnate Harlan Crow.

A few weeks ago, a tech executive, Bob Lee, was murdered on the street in San Francisco. Fox News continued their reporting about crime in San Francisco, saying this was another example.

The odd thing was that Mr Lee was in Rincon Hill, which is a nice area of San Francisco and he was stabbed at 2AM in the morning.

Mr. Lee was stabbed by another tech executive, Nima Momeni, who has been arrested and charged for Lee's murder. It was not a random crime. They were arguing over a woman. Lee's autopsy showed that he had alcohol, ketamine ("special K") and cocaine in his system.

Fox, of course, never followed up on the story when the facts came out.

Fox has been running a "Pelosi's dangerous streets" narrative on San Francisco, blaming "liberal politicians" and "liberal prosecutors".

A couple weeks ago, they were running a story about a homeless person attacking an "innocent resident". Turns out that the "innocent resident" had been putting on a mask and spraying homeless people with bear spray and the homeless person may have been protecting himself.

People are on edge for quite a few reasons, however Fox (and other cable news outlets) have a constant stream of "You should be outraged!" news stories that are simplifying and misrepresenting stories to gin up their base and to get viewers tuning in to hear the latest outrage. It started years ago with the "War on Christmas!" and it has continued with stories like these stories about the homeless issue in San Francisco.
