About 6:15 p.m. May 11, the Woodland Police Department received a phone call from Woodland Christian School officials reporting the alleged incident of “inappropriate” contact between the school employee and one or more high school students, said Sgt. Victoria Danzl, a police spokeswoman.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento has released a list of 46 priests and deacons who have been credibly accused of sexually abusing young people over the past 70 years.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento has released a list of 46 priests and deacons who have been credibly accused of sexually abusing young people over the past 70 years.

Appearing on the list, which was published Tuesday, were the names of nine priests who served at Woodland’s Holy Rosary Catholic Church as well as eight other clergymen assigned to churches in Clarksburg, Davis, West Sacramento and Winters...

Apparently, when it's a man in drag reading a book to children, Republicans lawmakers feel that they need to ban it. When it's a member of the Christian clergy who is actually molesting children, Republicans seem to keep quiet.

Just a few examples of Sacramento men in dresses abusing minors under the guise of being a Catholic priest:

• Andrew Coffey was at St. Anthony from 1955 to 1963 and St. James from 1963 to 1994. He is accused of “inappropriate kissing” with a girl under age 14 in 1972. No disciplinary action was taken when this was reported to the diocese in 2002.
• David Brusky (1985-1987, time frame for alleged abuse is unknown) and Robert Casper (1967-1978, alleged abuse took place in 1962 involving an underage boy).
• Edward Boyle allegedly sexually touched and fondled an underage woman. Boyle died in 1998. The incident was reported to the diocese in 2002.
• Francisco Javier Garcia is accused of committing sex crimes by 24 male victims who were underage at the time. Garcia fled to Mexico in 1995 when warrants were issued for his arrest.
• Hector Coria (2012-2014, the alleged abuse took place with an underage woman between 2013 and 2014).
• John Dowling abused multiple boys under the age of 14 from 1954 to 1981, after his time in town. Dowling was dismissed from the diocese in 1981 after a report involving child pornography surfaced. He died in 2000.
• Jorge Moreno molested two young men under age 14 between 1970 and 1975. He fled to Mexico while criminal charges were pending and died in 2014.
• Pablo Cortes allegedly sexually assaulted a young woman under the age of 14.
• Rodolfo Delgado abused an underage boy from 1983 to 1985. Delgado was removed from the ministry in 2006 and eventually assigned “to life of prayer and penance.”
• William Hold's alleged abuse involved sexual touching, fondling and masturbation with two boys under the age of 14.
• Uriel Ojeda is serving an eight year prison sentence after pleading no contest to sexual molestation of a minor in 2013. Between 2007 and 2009 he sexually touched and fondled an underage woman, which coincided with his time at Holy Rosary. The abuse was reported to the diocese in 2011 and Ojeda was dismissed from priesthood in 2016.

Former Plover youth pastor to be charged with child sexual assault

Criminal charges have now been filed in Portage County against a former youth pastor.

Jordan Huffman, 51, is expected to be charged with eight counts including first-degree sexual assault of a child, child enticement and contributing to the delinquency of a child. Huffman was arrested Aug. 9 in Florida, where he is currently living. He has a hearing in Florida on Aug. 24.

Court documents state the alleged victim said the crimes began in 2017 when the victim was 12 years old. Authorities were told Huffman was working as a youth pastor at Woodlands Church in Plover when he was contacted to mentor the victim. The incidents were reported by the alleged victim’s father in June. Court documents stated the assaults happened more than a dozen times over a two-year span.

The alleged victim stated that nothing sexual in nature had occurred at Woodlands Church, but that some assaults happened in Huffman’s office at his next place of employment, Forest Lakes District in Stevens Point. The district is affiliated with the national Evangelical Free Church of America. EFCA is organized into districts around the country and Woodlands Church is part of the Forest Lakes District, which also includes churches in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

A Missouri man who sought to ban several LGBTQ books from schools for depicting sexual content is now facing a felony charge of second-degree child molestation. Ryan Utterback, a 29-year-old parent from a suburb of Kansas City, also faces a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree domestic assault and, in a separate case, a misdemeanor of furnishing or attempting to furnish pornographic material to a minor.

Utterback had spoken at a school board meeting in November, as first reported by local news station KMBC-TV, an ABC affiliate, to advocate for the removal of books in North Kansas City Schools libraries that depicted sexual acts...

Accusations against Utterback, according to court documents, describe separate instances in 2020 in which he allegedly touched a 12-year-old girl under her clothes and rubbed a teenager’s leg underneath her jeans. Another case alleged in 2021 that he showed pornographic video footage to a child starting from when she was around 4 years old.

That's exactly it.

It's same reason that guys like J Edgar Hoover and Roy Cohn persecuted people who were like them. It's the same reason that someone like Phyllis Schlafly, a woman with a law degree spent most of her time away from her husband and 6 children campaigning against equal rights for women. Also the reason that her homosexual son John Schlafly, who lived with Phyllis until he was well into his forties, worked with her in her battles against gay rights and was an ardent supporter of Pat Robertson and Pat Buchanan.

After a few decades of seeing these zealots in action, I assume that anyone obsessed with fighting against LGBT rights has a night life that they're hiding. Anyone who labels a LGBT person as a "groomer" should probably have their phone and computer seized by law enforcement to check for kiddie porn.

There are a few, like Ken Mehlman. who later repent and try to fix the damage they have done. But they almost always do it after they fall out of power.

I have had some years in working on forensic mental heath related projects and have had the opportunity to have some really interesting conversations with HCPs around this.

But no one has a conclusive clinical answer (unsurprisingly). Because everyone comes at this from a point of some bias, based in their education and field of study.

I have read some incredibly insightful papers on the catholic clergy and abuse...but wow.

Always at the end we are left with nature/nurture and neurological structure and impulse/impulse control.

If I had another lifetime...I might have pursued this.

Coming from a Catholic background, in my view those things are only true on rare occasions. They require a conscious awareness of desires and a knowledgeable decision in the first place. I don't believe either is the thought process in most instances. At the time a boy enters seminary prep, I don't believe those desires exist yet, and they don't go into ministry/priesthood for the reasons you stated. In the Catholic Church, often they're barely young teenagers themselves...

Having known a few priests and having known a few that dropped out of seminary before being ordained, I would say that any seminarian who was gay had plenty of opportunities to act upon same-sex desires. Seminary in the 20th century sounds like a British boarding school with the amount of love affairs, same-sex making out and blowjobs that are exchanged.

But I don't have as clear of an explanation for the rampant sexual abuse of minors. That behavior is not just about sexuality or homosexuality. It happens frequently with male priests preying upon female students and female parishioners. It seems more like herding dogs preying upon the flock of sheep they're supposed to be protecting.

Brinton is a LGBT activist who has a MS in Nuclear Engineering from MIT. He has 6 years of expertise as an advisor on nuclear waste.

In 2022, Brinton was hired for a very visible senior position, deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Energy, a position that, soley based upon his resume, he would be qualified for.

In Oct, 2022, Brinton was arrested for stealing women's luggage from a Minnesota airport. Then in Dec 2022 he was arrested for stealing women's luggage from a Nevada airport after police examined July 2022 which showed Brinton stealing the bags. In Feb 2023, Brinton was arrested again after a clothing designer recognized a dress that Brinton was wearing as being a custom design that had been stolen from her luggage at a Washington DC airport.

In May, 2023 Brinton's home was searched and he was arrested again for stealing women's luggage from a Washington DC airport.

Gurl has a problem.

When Brinton was arrested and pleaded guilty in 2022, he was fired from his senior DOE position. However, his continued compulsive theft of women's clothing has given fodder to the far-right who refer to him as a "drag queen" convicted thief. Brinton's appearance on red carpets and public events gives right wing media ample pictures that help reinforce the narrative that trans people cannot be trusted in positions of power.

The suspect was charged Tuesday with forcible rape and forcible sodomy.

According to a probable cause statement, a woman told police last week that in August 2012 she got a letter in the mail from an "anonymous" sender that threatened harm against her loved ones if she did not film herself having sex with Miller. The statement says the woman confided in Miller about the letter, and he suggested they meet in person to discuss what to do. Miller allegedly told the woman that he did not want to have sex with her, but he felt like they had no choice.

The statement says the woman first pushed Miller away but eventually gave in and had sex with Miller as he used his cellphone to film the encounter.

After the incident, the statement says Miller insisted on tucking the victim into bed and praying with her.
