America loves the 'reality' show format and politics lends itself so well to the format. And it has for many, many years. America's political history is full of characters who who the equal or worse than the current crew. And it isn't just America. Other countries have their own 'rich' history.

When mass media discovered that politics sells a lot of soap, it became the number one eyeball grabber again. Eclipsing movie stars. And now, just like reality TV, they have figured out how to get the actors they need to feed the machine to perform.

It was not that long ago that a Presidential candidate had to withdraw from running because it was discovered he plagiarized sections of a paper he wrote in college decades before. It wasn't that long ago that a sitting Senator had to resign because of a picture of him jokingly posing with his hands in front a sleeping woman's breasts even though the picture was taken long before he entered politics.

It's mind-boggling that we now have a House member who lied about his background, his employment history, his educational background, et al and he's still serving in Congress. We have a Congressman chairing a House Committee even those there are credible claims that we was aware that years before, when he was a wrestling coach, there were athletes being sexually exploited by the wrestling team's doctors. We have multiple members of Congress who were active participants in an insurrection to overthrow a legitimate election.

And now, we have a married Congresswoman in a public space getting her tits felt up while she fiddles something between the legs of her not-her-husband date while vaping, swearing at and threatening employees of a theater and using the "Don't you know who I am?" line. No one has even called for her to resign because apparently this is now normal and acceptable behavior in the reality show known as The Housewives of the House of Representatives.

This is a very rural district but it also is where Aspen is located (home of this weekend's extramartial date, Quinn Gallagher*). The Aspen millionaire crowd is probably already doing fundraisers to send her back to Chaturbate in 2024.
