And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

Ryan Walters for demanding $3M for the purchase of Bibles for Oklahoma schools while conservatives refuse to pay teachers a living wage, and cry that free school lunches are not only a burden on the taxpayer, but a luxury that encourages the poors to forget their place.

And for denying press access to public meetings and press conferences.

3 million for Bibles? You can get them from the Gideons for free. I smell a grift here.

Probably the best solution to all of this is to have everybody argue about inclusiveness- every school should get a Qur'an, a Book of Mormon and a Bible. Christians will protest having a Qur'an in their schools.

From there the Christians can argue with of the dozen or so Bibles that different Christian denominations use. Catholics have one that they like. Older people like KJV (the Trump Bible is KJV, btw). Gideons switched from KJV and now distribute ESV, which many denominations don't like. The NIV crowd will want their favorite Bible.

A decade or so from now when they're all done arguing about it, Ryan Walters will be a long-forgotten nobody.

"FABIAN BASABE (FL-106): As we kick off our month of highlighting Agenda PAC’s Hate Squad—the 10 most beatable anti-LGBTQ+ politicians in America—it’s time to talk about Florida’s very own “George Santos,” Fabian Basabe.
Few politicians are as deceitful as Basabe, who continues to make headlines for his lies, deception, and sexual harassment lawsuits. He’s facing one of the strongest challengers in the country, backed by Equality Florida, the Florida Democrats, and the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund. Basabe’s days in public office are numbered, and with Agenda PAC’s help, we’ll make sure of it.

It just keeps getting better and better...

Trump has endorsed a "parental choice" advocate, Corey DeAngelis PhD, author of books promoting the anti-public school propaganda that is funded by evangelical billionaires and groups like Moms For Liberty. It's a book used by social conservative activists to undermine the public school system. DeAngelis is a senior fellow at the American Federal for Children, which donates to candidates that support school vouchers to divert taxpayer money to religious schools.

DeAngelis is also an anti-LGBT activist. He has appeared on Fox News accusing schools of "focusing on LGBTs instead of ABCs".

Well...

Dr DeAngelis has a porn past. He appeared as "Seth Rose" on the website GayHoopla. Described as a "hot otter", DeAngelis did a solo video, as well as a 4-man "jerkoff race" video for the studio.

Seth Rose speaks:

Wanking off on video and getting paid for it is his business. However, taking up a career where Betsy DeVos is paying you to talk shit about LGBT+ people being a threat to school children... well, he ultimately set himself up for it all to blow up in his face.

And there's the small issue of hypocrisy... a lost concept in today's Republican Party. Corey got a hypocrisy facial.

We're not the person that parents need to be afraid of. Pervy hypocrits like Corey DeAngelis are the what parents should fear.

^ Truth.

And these sociopaths somehow get into their heads that this is how they protect themselves.

While feeling guilty for their sins against their God and hating themselves..or maybe not (Insert J. Edgar Hoover and God knows how many other incredibly destructive closet cases).

The list would be too fucking long. I hate and I mean I HATE these self haters who ruin the lives of so many others while they think they are protected by some cloak of invisibility. I want to see them devastated and utterly broken...but like the Aaron Schocks and George Santos of the totally fucked up political scene, they will always skate.

In my younger years I not only knew but blew a number of Canadian pols who hid in plain sight like this and delighted in their outing and personal and political downfall if they were utterly hypocritical and campaigned against us. I enjoyed feeding the info into the whisper campaign against them.

Were they, too, the "victim of poor decisions and poor influences"?

This is where Alcoholics Anonymous has it right in getting people to own their poor decisions, instead of being a "victim of some unnamed person's poor decisions". DeAngelis was an adult. He can't blame "poor influences", especially since it appears that he whipped it out on video at least three times.

Someone still has some self-reflection due. He hasn't quite reached bottom, yet.

Let's drill down a bit on Fabián Basabe, another Florida piece-of-work.

He's a former reality star who moved to Florida.

Here he is dancing with former First Daughter, Barbara Bush back in the 90s:
da3895053473613f0ed422a2eabbb8a138-fabian-barbara-bush.rvertical.w570.jpg

He's from a wealthy family, although the source of the family's money is somewhat opaque. Basabe is married to a woman but the wife and a son spend most of their time in Europe. Basabe maintains a family home in Miami Beach but he apparently has a second residence there, too. That second residence plays a role in many of the allegations against him.

He was elected to the Florida House as a Republican in 2022, representing Florida 106 which is the barrier island to the east of Miami which includes everything from Aventura, all the way to the Miami Beach. The area is a mix of celebrities, ultra-wealthy mysterious South American millionaires, young trendy residents of high rise condos, Russian oligarch's mistresses and orthodox Jews.

The 2022 election was one of the closest in Florida. Basabe eked out a win with 50.2% of the vote.

Basabe voted in favor of DeSantis' "don't say gay" bill.

Fast forward to 2024 and Basabe has multiple allegations of getting young men drunk and taking advantage of them. The accusations include two former male aides who allege that Basabe sexually harassed them.

Basabe denies the allegations and says that it's all a plot against him by the gays who want revenge for his anti-gay votes. In spite of all of these allegations, Basabe won his August primary by 62%. :##:

So, Ms Stop the Steal's former campaign manager had her house raided because she's accused of election-tampering?

FBI raids home of Lauren Boebert's ex-campaign manager in Colorado election tampering probe [Salon]
Update:

Lauren Boebert's former campaign manager, Tina Peters, is going to jail for 9 years. Meanwhile, the rest of the liars and election deniers are still running around free... and one is running for President.

A Colorado county clerk was sentenced to nine years in prison Thursday after spearheading a data breach scheme in the 2020 presidential election.

District Judge Matthew Barrett sparred with former Mesa County clerk Tina Peters during her sentencing for continuing to push discredited claims about rigged voting machines, and said she had not taken her job seriously...

Prosecutors alleged Peters stole a county employee’s security badge to help a man associated with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell gain access to the county’s voter systems to assist Lindell’s false conspiracies about the validity of the 2020 election results

The judge was particularly harsh on Peters, who he said had continued to be defiant and unrepentant in court. Before sentencing, Peters gave a 40 minute speech claiming that she was doing her job, defending the citizens of Mesa County and took no responsibility for her actions.

The judge referred to Peters as a charlatan and a fame-seeker before giving her a 9 year sentence in prison.

If she has 2 million bux, Trump will pardon her if he steals the Oval office.

BTW. I hope Nana loves her time in the hoosegow.

I saw an interview with Peter Navarro yesterday... after he was released from Federal prison.

He's still claiming he has executive privilege and that he's going to take his case to the Supreme Court. The 4 months doesn't seem to have caused any self-reflection. He's 75 years old and his wife has divorced him. He claims to have spent a $1.7 million on legal fees.

It seems to be a character trait of these Trumpers- no capacity for self-reflection and no course correction on their self-destructive impulses.

And it was only a matter of time....

People hoarding toilet paper (again) in the US because of a dockworkers' strike.

Not figuring out that probably 99% of the TP used in Murica, is made in North Murica.
