And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

This thread mentioned a Minnesota State Senator being arrested for diddling with the kiddies (link below). Turns out he was the sponsor of a bill to change the state health code to include "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as a mental illness.

Didn't exactly work out the way he hoped. Now that he's headed to prison, he's had to resign from the Senate. So sorry.

Republican behind ‘Trump derangement syndrome’ bill resigns after criminal charge
Minnesota state Sen. Justin Eichorn was arrested on charges of trying to meet up with an officer who posed as a 17-year-old girl.

...One far-right MAGA Republican who is expressing displeasure with Trump's more imperialistic ideas is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia). In an angry rant posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday, May 2, Greene argued that some of Trump's recent actions are incompatible with the MAGA movement's "America First" ideology...

The Wicked Witch of the East is having conniptions. It would appear she's feeling ignored and has decided to bring the crazy to rectify the situation. Terrifyingly, I actually agree with ONE thing she said. The rest is just Flying Monkey shit cray cray. One weeps for Georgia. O.K. not really but still they elected her and if I have to suck it up over Teddy the Cuban KKK stooge, they have to own Marge the Mouth.

One is tempted to yell back at her that, yes, Hunter's package was that big, and we all know exactly why she had posters made of it.

Starbucks just can't seem to get it right any more. Who knew that people spending that much on a beverage might like to be served by a barista?

Not a drag queen.

Minnesota state trooper Jeremy Plonski, who was arrested this week for producing child sexual abuse images, has now been charged with raping an infant.

Nothing makes your morning better quite like 'Pubby backstabbing.

...Not that long ago, Ron DeSantis looked like the future of MAGA, the iron-fisted ruler of Florida politics who was set up for a White House run. Now the Republican governor faces potential political obscurity, unable to control legislators in his own party who are calling for a federal investigation of his wife's charity...

So they used the charity to launder money, I don't for a minute believe all the pubs were ignorant of that. Then they are using that to bring him down and destroy his wife.

I am so sad for Ron, and I shed a tear.

It's also part of the MAGA war.

DeSantis fell out of favor after he challenged Trump in the 2024 Presidential race.

Trump is now pushing for Byron Donalds to be the next governor. Donalds represents a US House district on the Gulf Coast around Ft Meyers/Naples. He's one of Trump's favored Buh-lack supporters. He was even mentioned as a Speaker of House to replace McCarthy before they found the complicit evangelical, Mike Johnson.

They want to knock out Casey DeSantis from the primary. That might work in mega-meth MAGA Florida? I just find it hard to believe that Floridians are ready for a Black governor.

It's hard to explain what happened in this story. I'll link the Miami Herald investigation article below. Basically, a company got caught defrauding the Florida Medicaid program. The company paid a penalty to the State of Florida but the settlement terms also included a "charitable donation" to a charity controlled by the governor's wife, Casey. That money was then transferred from Casey's charity into other not-for-profits controlled by DeSantis allies.

The weird thing in all of this is that Hope Florida "charity". It was a way to funnel money to religious organizations under the guise of "getting people off welfare". It is exactly the kind of stuff that works in Florida, so it's unclear why suddenly the MAGA people are looking to cut off government money-laundering to the churches that elected them.

That was my first thought. Are the Cubans going to vote for a Black guy? We all know how the Panhandle feels about that. Someone needs to show up in Florida and start screaming DEI!!!! at him.

I saw a ridiculously complicated flow chart showing where the money that went into Casey DeSantis' charity went. About all I could tell for sure is that it ended somewhere that it shouldn't, a nice money laundering scheme for sure.

As for why the Repubs are turning on DeSantis, I'm not sure what's going on, but he has been clashing an awful lot with the GOP led Florida legislature, and there's likely a lot of bad blood over that.

I'm not sure that Trump's coattails will work as well as they once did. Remember that's how DeSantis won the Republican Primary in his first run for governor, by outmaneuvering a much more well-known candidate by getting Dear Leader's endorsement. But I suspect that there are now even enough disenchanted MAGAs that it won't make much of a difference, and there will be a fight amongst several candidates. And that might open the door for a Democrat to win the governorship, an opportunity the Dems will almost certainly screw up.

I heard what Cubans said about carmelito Obama. I don't think they'll be motivated to vote for a moreno for governor.

When it's a complicated money flow, that's usually a sign.

What is the mystery to me is that this was designed to launder money from the inception. Is the issue that the money went to the wrong cronies or is it just an excuse to take down the DeSantis dynasty so that they can get Trump cronies in?

I want to seem them all start wearing fedoras and carrying violia cases around with them everywhere.

I bet on the latter since we know the Trogs have no problem with money laundering and backstabbing. The idea that some of them suddenly got a fit of ethics is laughable.

I've always thought of them more like the Russian Mob not the Mafia.
