And Let's not forget about the other Deplorables

Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace seem to be in a contest to knock each other out of the day's news headlines.

The House Ethics committee is launching an investigation into whether Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) improperly collected over $9,000 in reimbursements meant to subsidize housing costs for members of Congress.

A new referral from the Office of Congressional Conduct, the nonpartisan entity charged with reviewing ethics complaints against lawmakers, recommended the committee investigate Mace after finding “substantial reason to believe” that she “engaged in improper reimbursement practices”

The referral alleges Mace received the maximum amount lawmakers can expense for lodging at her D.C. property over 13 months in 2023 and 2024 at a total greater than the cost of her actual expenses at the property. The report claims Mace collected $9,485.46 in excess reimbursements.

More troubles in MAGA world...

Over in the celebs forum, a while back a member was lusting over a "news man" named "Elijah Schaffer". Since then, Schaffer has re-fashioned himself as a "trad" podcaster, who pushes an agenda that Christian men are the rulers of their domain and the women should be subservient, baby-making "trad wives".

There's a major meltdown going on in the "trad" world because Schaffer is being accused of having an affair with one of his employees, who is not is wife. Schaffer appears to be having some sort of mental health crisis as a result of the fallout of the alleged affair.

In 2024, the "trad" podcasters were promoters of Trump and the MAGA movement. The Schaffer affair seems to be one of several signs of collapse in the man-o-sphere of Trump-friendly podcasters.

A far-right podcaster known to preach the importance of “traditional family values” is on a social media tirade after he was publicly accused of having an affair with his employee.

Elijah Schaffer, 32, responded on Thursday to a public accusation made by alt-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos that he had been in an affair with his employee, Sarah Stock, following up on a since-deleted meltdown of posts from Tuesday.

Schaffer is a reactionary right-wing commentator and podcast host who has said that women are “just a bunch of holes.” He has been accused of having an affair with Stock, who, in addition to working for Schaeffer, is also a right-wing Catholic influencer.

Fallout from the Medicaid and Ryan White cuts. Florida is the latest state to cut programs that provide free or low-cost antiviral medications to patients with HIV infections.

Florida’s Proposed Cuts to AIDS Drug Program Threaten Patient Care and Public health

More than 128,000 Floridians are living with HIV. The state has the second-highest rate of new HIV diagnoses after Georgia, with approximately 4500 new diagnoses in 2023, the most recent year for which data is available.

But access to treatment could be in jeopardy if potential budget cuts, announced in January 2026 by the Florida Department of Health, are enacted.

These changes, set to go into effect on March 1, would cut funding for the state’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program, which helps more than 31,000 Floridians with HIV/AIDS afford care.

Nearly half of the States have cut HIV medication programs that were funded by the Ryan White Act. Included are programs that help prevent HIV infection in newborns in HIV positive pregnant women.

Nearly 20 States Scale Back HIV Medication Programs

A growing number of states are rolling back financial help for HIV medications.

An analysis released March 2 by the health research group KFF found that 18 states have adopted cost-cutting changes to their AIDS Drug Assistance Programs, known as ADAPs.

Five more states are considering similar steps.

ADAP programs are funded through the federal Ryan White Federal HIV Program. They help pay for HIV medications, provide drugs at no cost to some patients and cover insurance premiums for others.

When taken daily, the medications suppress the virus to undetectable levels, which means a person cannot pass HIV to others.

Again, it is the nihilist far right religious cult vision of the future. They have no hesitation pronouncing a death sentence for the 'sinners' who have HIV.

And you just know that this is not an aberration. This is likely common among the kind of white, 20's, fringe right GQP'ers that gravitate to poli-op chat rooms like this.

It is Godwin's Law in action, isn't it?

And people are foolish. In times past, there could be provocateurs coaxing this racist, homophobic, misogynist, violent and threatening rhetoric in order to ruin creers. These days, it is likely thatb ICE is using
these chats to recruit candidates.
