Rosie O'Donnell today announced that she could not come to a contract agreement with ABC so she will leave 'The View' in June.

What are your thoughts? I dont really care because I dont watch 'The View'. But I have watched her and I just dont care much for her. I think what she says is correct, but I think that she's a little overpowering. It's a 'her way or the highway' sort of thing to me.

Like her or not, she is one tough act to follow. So ABC is going to have their hands full. They've taken all year and still haven't found Star Jones' replacement. Now they'll have TWO chairs to fill next season.

If you go too far to either extreme you get into crazy and her comments on 9/11 made it clear she took that dive.

I don't watch The View regularly but I do like Rosie. Perhaps egos were starting to clash--Barbara vs. Rosie.

Listen and read what she said. She never said Bush or the gov't was behind 9/11. She was only referring to tower 7, and never said it was the gov't. She pointed out it imploded in on itself, with free fall speed, with no plane crash, and never in history has that happened, so it needs investigating. Valid question. Not about tower 1 or 2, never implicated the government. Perfect example of someone questioning and being attacked as unpatriotic.

Barbara made it clear that she has nothing to do with Rosie's contract negotiations...it's all ABC Daytime and Rosie's Agents. Rosie said that she isn't gonna be completely gone...she'll still come on the show as a guest host a few times a month and for special shows that she wants to do(like the depression show or autism shows they did).

i'll miss her she brought the show to life....it caused actual conversations to take place and there were so many "views" sorry for the pun....but it was sometimes it got old...but most of the time it was interesting to hear the points of view from Rosie and Elizabeth

Like her or not she was entertaining, but obviously she's a self destructive lesbian bitch who really does fail in everything she does. Oops! Sorry I was channeling Donald Trump. Her biggest failure is and will always be representing homosexuality. Ellen D. rules!

Since when did Rosie become a physist? How can she say what the scientific impossibilities of architecture are? She can't! She'd an f'in comedian and the only education she has in these matters are some whack-job-conspiracy theorist pamphlet/website she stumbled across. I VEHEMENTLY disagree with this administration and their response but to try to imply that September 11 was some government plot (which even if she didn't explicately state it was definitely the implication) is amoral, idiotic, and above all dangerous, just as dangerous as those amoral assholes who deny the holocaust. When tragic events of this scope occur they signify a fundamental failure on our part and I mean not as government by not catching it but as human beings for being so hateful and spiteful that such acts could be perpetrated. We need to stop and look at ourselves look at others and examine what the fuck has been going on in this world while we were so bust eating or McDs and following the exploits of Brittney freakin' Spears. What we do NOT need to do is attempt to spin them politically. It's wrong. It's just fucking wrong and insensitive to people who've lost loved ones.

This is what is so frustrating in the post 9/11 America. She never said she was an expert. She QUESTIONED something, and it's not immoral or unpatriotic to question. That's her right as an American. If something seemingly doesn't make sense, we should be able to say, "This doesn't make sense to me, someone explain to me." I'm no conspiracy theorist, what angers me more is how anyone who even seemingly questions the government is called immoral, idiotic, hateful, and un-American. Disent is patriotic!

Just because you have the right to do something doesn't make it moral. You have the right to attend a KKK meeting and that's certainly not moral. And she didn't QUESTION anything. She made a statement. She (to paraphrase) said that she thinks it was impossible for that to have occured without some additional force. That's an ignorant statement and an ignorant statement that is pointed politically she wasn't kindly asking for someone to explain the physics of steel melting to her that would be "this doesn't make sense to me, someone explain to me" she was attempting to incite a political outrage and there should be political outrage because this administration has done so many wrong and frankly amoral things. But it was disrespectful to those who died and they're family to try and twist the circumstances surrounding their death for politics, just as disrespectful and amoral as the government was to Pat Tillman's family. SHe was clearly implying there was a greater conspiracy behind 9/11 and I feel that's as unreasonable as scientology and therefore I have about as much respect for her ability to tell truth from idiocy as I do for that of Tom Cruise. I didn't call her un-american or unpatriotic don't be putting words in my mouth. I called her STUPID and INSENSITIVE because that's what she is.

I should add I also called her crazy... which is also not in anyway implying she's unpatriotic.

You say don't put words in your mouth, but you put words in Rosie's saying she implied the government, among other things. We disagree, that's okay. We agree on this administration, and I'm sure we both agree Rosie O'Donnell is not nearly as important as the mess we're in. So whatever. (UU)

Ugh. Blahblahblah. She pointed out something, and it does look like it did collapse upon itself, which buildings are able to do if they're not structured correctly or are "rigged". Just because she questioned something, even with if it was or was not a statement, doesn't mean she's being insensitive to the victims of 9/11. How the heck does that correlate? Sorry, but I don't agree.

No there's a difference between putting words in someone's mouth and paraphrasing their statements. There was no implication in my statement she was a traitor or that she was unpatriotic or any of that right-wing BS. Before talking about how it was impossible she said "But the question is historically have goverments ever faked incidents, or incited incidents, in order to go to war..." Now if you're telling me that after she says that and then launches into that tirade. That's not putting words in someones mouth that's something she was implying but didn't have the balls to say outright

Your quote is incorrect. She said that about the Iran hostage incident, not 9/11. I tried to be nice to you, but you're going to keep fighting. So again, whatever.

She's not insensitive for thinking 9/11 was a government conspiracy- that just makes her stupid

She's insensitive for manipulating it to suit her politics

There's no need for you to internalize this about being "nice" or not. It's a debate, that's what bothers me most about this silly nation of ours. We're so affraid to discuss religion or politics because God forbid people might actually get passionate about something they might actually care instead of being apathetic about everything.

Not apathetic...I'm a government teacher and earned a M.A. in political science.

Stupid for thinking it was a government conspiracy? Okay, I don't care for the whole 9/11 crap, but do you honestly believe governments have never tried to find reasons to pick a war?

Manipulating it to suit her politics? Uh, okay. Even though that makes no sense at all. Questioning, and not just accepting whatever's being fed to your mouth, is not "manipulating to suit politics". It isn't unreasonable to say the building looks like it collapsed upon itself. That's what it looked like. And when you're having debates/discussions, you don't have room to make weak arguments. Either you stand with one point or you don't. You don't hesitate and try to stand on the fence on an issue, and that's what Rosie did not do (thank God). She took a stand and challenged what was there.
