Another innocent black guy shot dead by police as he entered his own home

See comment above. You've brought nothing new to the discussion.

Racism is real.

Your blather and your own blind racist condemnation of everyone who doesn't drink your kool aid is not confused with enlightenment.

Chile...it's easier for me. This is like being your grade school teacher. Repeat after me again until you get it:

We should just have black's only threads, no differing viewpoint is tolerated, and the race card will be pulled out every bleeding time.

What’s so typical is that the ‘race card’ was pulled by them first in this thread b/c they got in their fragile fee-fees and couldn’t handle the reality of the situation.;)

Whats typical is white Americans thinking their voice should be the dominant voice on race matters.

No white American ever: I'm just going to shut up and listen, tell me your experience.

I believe that I have asked you over and over what your personal experience has been. Tell me when you last got pulled over for no reason. I would like to know, I care. Did the cops abuse you?

So you can deconstruct it and insist that police aggression is just a boogeyman under my bed? You and your cohorts will find ANY angle for plausible deniability and shifting the blame from what is so clearly a decades-long institutional problem to us not being compliant.

Ok, speaking as an ex-cop, I can tell you that your question is not fair.

In short, when I was a cop, I can guarantee you that I can pull any random person over with a completely legitimate reason to by simply following him for 2-4 blocks. Everyone makes a mistake at some point during this distance.

Just do a google search and a youtube search for black people getting pulled over for absurd but technically legit reasons. You will find plenty.

Here, I'll post a couple.

They don't have to shoot people in the back to take away their rights. They can make their lives hard and drag out a nonsense case to waste their time and money. You know how much attorney fees are?

I'm sorry, you will never get it. You think you do, but I doubt you will ever.

I am well aware that a cop can find a reason if they should so choose. Those who are pulled over for "no reason" do indeed have a beef. I find it odd that those who complain of this seem to refer to the events of other people when I ask them of their own personal experience. If a person is going to charge the system with violating their privilege or rights then they should be able to produce at least a few instances of what happened. I have yet to see Fab or Hoe post one reference to a specific incident of mistreatment that they have personally experienced.

I found video after video of young blacks beating up old white folks, it's a big country, cameras everywhere. This would hardly give me the right to say that I am afraid of young blacks because they stalk old white guys. I would be stereotyping young black guys based upon some experiences of other people.

Basically, your conclusion is b/c a police officer has never shot me in the back for simply holding my house keys and two $5 footlongs that I don’t have a right to criticize the obvious monstrous, racist behavior of our law enforcement system. :rotflmao:

Did you seriously just suggest a colored section? :rotflmao:

Yo, I’m still sent. Sus really jumped in here talking about having Jim Crow inspired threads knowing good and damn well, it ain’t no more than three of us actively left on these boards anyway. :rotflmao:

Some things on here just never change.

No, I challenge your conclusion that if a poc is mistreated by the cops then all poc are being mistreated. You and Fab have yet to share any time that you have been mistreated, let alone shot.

B/c I already explained to you that that is irrelevant when we’re talking about an institution that was created and designed to oppress and brutalize poc. Me simply being one myself increases my risk of being unfairly detained and harmed whenever I am in the presence of a police officer.

Just b/c thankfully I have been lucky enough to not have personally encountered police brutality does not mean it does not exist and is not a potential danger for me.

This whole argument that you’re riding on that if you simply comply and do whatever a police officer says, you will be okay and nothing bad will happen to you is just not a guarantee if you’re not white. You’re purposely choosing not to understand and ignore the fact that these incidents are not coincidences and are actually apart of a larger societal problem.

My own hometown of Chicago where I was born and raised. Our current mayor’s office Lori Lightfoot didn't want our local news station to air a video of a woman, #AnjanetteYoung, who was wrongfully interrogated and traumatized by a grossly negligent police raid.

The police rushed in her home and she was naked and fearful. They had access to the precise location of the person they failed to find who actually lived next door who had a monitoring bracelet. Thankfully, Anjanette is alive to tell her story and thankfully CBS2 broke the news anyways.

The whole fucking system is guilty and corrupt. The police failed to do standard procedure to verify the address from the informant. Where do the millions of dollars go? Oh to settlement payouts b/c there is ZERO accountability and reform. But you want me to believe the police are actually meant to serve and protect me. How many more videos and examples do y’all need???

I don't know why people simp for the Police so hard. Like the taste of that boot a little too much I guess.

I don't know how any white person, on either side of the issue, can purport to understand what it's like to be black in America, or to diminish a black person's argument because they don't have first person experience of police brutality. The black experience is entirely unique and can't be compared to homophobia, Islamophobia, the crimes against native Americans or any other marginalized group.

My first hand experiences with homophobia produced an immediate white-hot anger, and once, a paralyzing mortal fear that hate for hate's sake is real and is based on those two things which are both volatile and steadfast in their refusal to consider reason or facts: hate and fear.

I can show all the support I want, I can claim to be horrified at brutal videos, but the truth is that I cannot ever wholly empathize because it's so far out of my experience as a white man.

Our brains allow us empathy, but, I don't think our brains are able to instill in us the anger and fear black men and women feel when confronted with systemic racism and the existence of (as opposed to experience with) police brutality. I can only imagine what it might be like. I cannot make myself experience that level of anger because the necessary triggers are just not there. The anger that comes from the knowledge that one's own ilk has been subjected to centuries of organized and sanctioned abuse and injustice is not something I will ever have first hand knowledge of, so who am I to criticize it?

There are people who say black activists sometimes go extreme lengths to get their point across, but then again, so did Derek Chauvin.

That video is horrific.
