We are talking about the political worldview that so little understands actually offensive remarks that they threw a friggin fit over Kerry merely acknowledging that Cheney's daughter was openly gay. The entire right reacted as though Kerry had just proposed throwing her into a fire or something over and it that they simply could not BELIEVE how offended they were by his saying so.

It's a psychological dysfunction called Right Wing Fake Outrage.

Ever since St Ronald to the tea party hijacking it's become more chronic. It happens regularly to whomever affiliates themselves with the republican party. It's been finely tuned by Sarah Palin with her Lipstick on a Pig condition. Her skin is so thin it's translucent. You can't see her arteries or veins because ice water flows through them.

It flows, not pumps ..... because right wingers have no hearts. That's why Dick Cheney had to have one installed.

Just ask 175 million Americans how accurate my statement is. You can start with those 1.5 million the republicans left to starve and freeze during the Holidays without unemployment benefits.

Exploiting tragedies has been successful to their base, but not so much anymore. They'll need to stick to their tried and true methodologies..... exploiting the simple-minded, affirming their hate, fear and prejudices. Keep them ignorant and poor and blame the opposing party.

The core of his post was the second line, about black republicans not being black enough. It's on the same lines as "oh, so if gays are conservatives, they're self-loathing, EH?!" Which, yes, they are, and in the current ultra divisive environment fostered by the GOP, blacks are almost in the same boat. So whenever they tout a black or gay GOPer and we respond in the normal way - by pointing out how absurd that is - they get scandalized and try to make it seem like we are attacking the actual person, and not what they stand for.

Sorry, Jack, there is no bigotry in pointing out that a gay Republican is a Nazi Jew. And until your Down syndrome party makes a complete 180 on social issues, it will always be an accurate comparison.

I'm just slightly flabbergasted when Republicans put on a straight face and try to appeal to progressives' dislike of racism to try to get them on their side about something when Republicans have no problem routinely ignoring actual or more serious racist agendas, especially those within their own party.
