Listen Chance. We allow members to use whatever source as they deem appropriate. White Eagle has chosen to consistently utilize Alternet because he likes them. I have no issue with his choice. If you've got a beef with the facts contained in his cites, please refute them using another cite from a source you feel to be legitimate.

Simply denigrating a news source as biased doesn't really move the discussion down the field. And I would say the same to those who denigrate more conservative sources as well. That's only fair.

There are some sources (on both sides)- like pretty much any Breitbart site - that are too seeped in bias and distortions to be taken seriously as a reputable source.

Fox is propaganda, not news. They've been caught altering film and photos to fabricate or slant the story.

Ignore what someone says about sources. When they don't have a cognitive argument or debating skills it's much easier to dismiss the source and hurl an insult.

Alternet reported a republican in a lesbian sex scandal. Of course the right wing won't report it, or if they do they will suppress it. Dismissing the source is the easy way out.

whatever the facts might be everyone involved in a political debate has an agenda. You can make the facts look any way you please, you can refuse to see the facts, you can make more of them than is actually there, the only way to judge is to look at the argument and see if it makes sense.

sourcing is really not much different. Unfortunately we as a country have gotten out of the habit of differentiating between what is extrapolation and what is fact. For which I blame Clinton, who deregulated the media.

In our lovely modern world of infotainment, sources are just players in the partisan battle.

Politicians are very good at making sense with distorted facts, it's why they're politicians. Some of us, not so much.

Most conservative right wing sources fit into the criteria of being yellow journalism. Breitbart especially. Very little in the way of facts gets through on right wing "news sources". It doesn't surprise me to see Chance complaining about Alternet (a source that is definitely more factual then Faux News, Breitbart, Townhall and other right wing sources).

It's nice seeing someone criticizing a source without providing anything... it just goes to show some are a bit lazy when it comes to making an argument.

And this whole scandal does not surprise me... why would it? These will never end because many republicans choose to be in the closet as they feel "connected" to the political party. They feel as if they share "economic views" (which is nonsense).

Ya know, I was thinking about that being lazy earlier today. I wasn't gonna post it as I would probably be called a troll.

The problem with these whiners is alternet.com could say the sky is blue and water is wet, and because they don't like the source they'll dismiss it and hurl a few insults besides. Then they'll change the subject about how everything is all Obama's fault. It's what you get from some people who don't have a real argument and don't have interpersonal skills.
