I swear to God if I ever get to meet the bastards who created this virius I'm going to KILL them.

Its destroying everything, crashing everything....ugh.

I've been through every tutorial I could find online to get rid of the damn thing, does anyone here have any experience with it ? I would be extremely grateful if you could help me out.

Im going to start crying soon....

Yeah Malwarebytes is good with this one, have used it successfully a few times on earlier versions.

I had the same problem with my laptop. Had a friend look at it and said my computer was completely fucked. He tried spending a day or two fixing, but said he had to wipe it. I would get it checked it, there may be a lot more going on with you computer.

Also I think there's also different names for it, but basically if an "Anti-Virus" program magically appear on you computer, tells you your computer has a virus, and tells you to buy the "Anit-Virus" software, DO NOT TRUST IT.

My friend also suggested Spybot Search and Destroy.

You maketh me more depress-sed.

=(

I've tried that, tried system restore, tried something zilla, tried it manually...

it will scan for 3 seconds and then cut out. :(

I had to remove this on two occasions (separate computers of a friend and of a co-worker) and I can vouch for the Malwarebytes' Anti Malware recommendation (it also removes the peskiest stuff I've seen). In addition to the instruction link provided, like BearMagus suggested, I needed to reboot into Safe Mode at one point and run it again, and do another reboot and rescan in the regular mode to be sure. In summary, you may need to boot/reboot a few times in a combination of safe and regular. The problem in another case was the Winlogon exe executable being infected, and that file is loaded for any login (safe or regular), so in that case I grabbed a clean version from another XP system and overwrote the file. Take a careful look at the files that Malwarebytes lists as being infected and is a vital system file (you can Google its name to check it out if you don't recognize it), and if it's persistently showing as infected, you may need to replace it. If you're handy with the registry you can also check out if anything there is visibly causing it to load and edit/remove that line.

Good luck. This one's pretty brutal to remove. :)

Nothing is working...the crashes are getting worse.

*slits wrist and feeds blood to the computer*

Blood sacrifice?

Someone let me know if im on the right track...

none of the virus things worked so I downloaded

CCleaner and it took like..all the junk out. Antivirus files are no where to be found. BUT I'm still pretty sure theyre lurking somewhere I dont know about because stuff still freezes and I cant install and protection.

next step plz?

This is seriously making me insane. Its like threading a needle with no hole. I havent slept in 2 days and Im about to just beat it down.

next step plz?

Did you follow my detailed instructions? Post #10 in this thread; I took the time to document thoroughly what's worked for me before in cleaning this from other systems - not sure if you saw it, but give it a shot. Earlier in the thread you said Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware "cuts out" after a few seconds - can you explain that in more detail? What happens exactly? Does it freeze, exit, etc.? I don't know what "cuts out" is, but sometimes it will pause for a few seconds while preparing to scan, etc. Try rebooting in safe mode, installing/running it (the full Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware), and via the other steps I gave you and it should work.

In any case, your update is that your system "seems" fine - run the Malwarebytes program again to be sure.

When I try to run Malwarebytes it will do a quick scan for about 5 seconds and then just turn off. It cuts out. Disappears. I dunno what happens. Then when I try to turn it back on it doesn't work.

I've went through the whole computer manually and deleted every single file related to Antivirus Pro 2010. Braviax... ugh. Once I have them deleted the computer works fine with a minor freeze up here or there but its ALOT better than it was. Im pretty sure Im like..REALLY close to making it go away but I'm missing something. I'm going to search through the registry now and see what I can find, maybe I missed something.

Everytime I go to log into one of the user accounts it freezes up and doesnt go anywhere. Then when I can finally get back into the account there it is... that little damn red X in the corner giving me popups and I've deleted it from start up..

*pouts*

Sunshine, try the "Full Scan" if the "Quick Scan" is causing it to hang then. :) Never seen that symptom in anyone I've recommended it to - same result running it under Safe Mode? Not sure why it's "disappearing". You can Control-Alt-Delete to view the task manager and see if its still running - look in the list of programs and "Switch To" it (maybe Antivirus 2010 stole foreground), if it's not listed there, check the Processes tab to see if its process is still running - look for mbam . exe If you can't relaunch it and nothing happens, kill the process with "End Process" and relaunch. If your infection is loading its own processes repeatedly also, you can kill them from here though they may come back.

Yeah this is a pain in the ass. cru629, braviax and beep, plus a bunch of different registry additions.

I had a pain in the ass getting rid of this asshole program. Best I can tell you, since you had it for so long, is to back-up your files and reformat your PC.

Well.....I've come to the conclusion that I'm royally screwed. (:

I've tried... Spyware doctor, Malwarebytes, AVG, Norton, AVAST, Windows Defender, PC Tools, CCleaner....

and they didn't work.

I've tried manually deleting braviax, and Antispyware Pro 2010 's files and folders. I've deleted them from the registry.

I'm at my wits end, I don't know whats left to do.

I got them out but its still crashy...

I managed to get Windows Defender installed but the scan doesnt work.
