AntiVirus 2010 PLEASE make it go away!

Ever since I had it/removed it, some of my video sites don't work. Plus my Windows Live Call won't connect. But Skype will.....(?????)
I might just have to delete my vid programs (divX, Windows Media Player....) and reload them.

After "fixing" one of my computers that got nailed it never was the same.
Networking, in particular, got ALL fucked up......so bad I could NOT CONFIGURE a new DSL modem at another location.
It DID stave of an OS install for a while but, again, the computer never was the same.
As for videos.......go to the Adobe website and run the Flash UNinstaller, reboot and go for a new installation.

PEOPLE SHOULD ALWAYS KEEP THERE DISC
i learned the hard way XD
Espically if you have windows

I found something interesting about SuperAntiSpyware and that is that they now have a version that needs NO installing. It is created for the simple reason that a virus or spyware may try to stop any actual protective bit of software so SuperAntiSpyware actually has a version you can download that DOES NOT require an install. It works like the installed program but does not install.

SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner is specifically made to be portable, no install needed and fits really nicely on a thumb drive (like a Cruzer or something)

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The link is located in a temp folder/dir, suggesting it can't be directly downloaded.

BTW......this program does NOT "INSTALL".......so do NOT delete the DOS file!
Put it somewhere and create a shortcut to it.

Obviously, you are still infected. Reformat and reinstall Windows. Now.

And Sunshine, Corny is correct. You keep ignoring him. You need to reformat and reinstall Windows. The three "R"s of using Windows are Reboot, Reformat, and Reinstall. That's just the way it is. Accept it and move on.

If you do not have your original Windows disks and you cannot afford a Mac or a copy of Windows 7 (~ $100 to upgrade to Win 7 "Home") then your only real choice is to upgrade to Linux. This is your opportunity to jump to something new and better.

Install Ubuntu on your hard drive in a dual boot with Windows. That way, you will be able to access ALL of your Windows image, video, audio, document, and other files from within Ubuntu. The only thing you will not have access to are your installed Windows programs. You will finally be able to surf in peace, without worrying about the possibility that some bad guys will try to infect you with something. You are bulletproof. It's a good feeling. And it's free.

Might I recommend "Super Ubuntu" (aka "Super OS")? It includes many codecs for playback of proprietary media formats, DVD playback, etc. Also, Wine, Opera, Firefox, VLC player. Realplayer, and lots of other useful stuff come pre-installed.

I have been very quirious about switching to Ubuntu but have only been all too familure with Microsoft. Where is kind of a "one stop shop" for all thinks Ubuntu for drivers and sound cards and all of that other lovely stuff. Last time I tried Ubuntu (wasn't half bad but my sound card driver didn't work right) I was a noob at Ubuntu (still am) and couldn't get the proper drivers. Then I ran into the problems with not being able to make DVD's because my DVD maker ConvertXtoDVD wouldn't work on it.

Please PM me or post here some really great Ubuntu options. One other thing...the disk that I downloaded...for some reason...it HATES my computer. I burned it at very slow speed to insure it went on right but sometimes, it just wont go. Thanks.
