i love law & order...all of them but especially the original. they fucking moved it to friday tho!!! wtf???

who's the new A.D.A.?? i say bring back angie harmon...i miss her "let's execute them all" toughness, lol.

I love L&O, but SVU is my favorite.

I'm pissed that they moved the original to Fridays. NBC needs to stop screwing around with its established, hit shows just to accomodate their new shows that will most likely be canceled after a few episodes.

I was so shocked when Borgia died. It was one of the most shocking moments in L&O history, I think.

The new ADA is, shockingly, another young, dark-haired woman. I don't know who plays her, but her name on the show is Consuela Rubirosa.

dick wolf actually gives the actors a choice when they leave L & O on how they wanna go out...if they wanna be killed off or not. i assume the smart ones don't wanna get killed off so they could guest star...personally i like the way serena left...how she was fired as A.D.A. and she was like "is it because i'm a lesbian"...lol. i had no idea she was til then. i'm sure the writers didn't either.

thank god jack mccoy's been there all these years...he's definitely the rock.

I know Serena wasn't very popular, but I always liked her. I'd love to see her come back as a defense attorney in some case involving civil rights and have to face Jack in the court room.

i liked serena too...she got a lot of shit from fans and critics cause she was a little stiff but i thought that acting style worked for her character. borgia was probably my least favorite...just something kinda bland about her.

i miss the HELL outta jerry orbach...he was somethin they'll never replace. dennis farina is good now...i like the smell of corruption he brings to the show, lol. but jerry, like sam waterson, is irreplaceable.

Angie is doing a lot of movies these days. "The Good Mother" will be released on DVD in early October and "Seraphim Falls" will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. I too really miss her on Law & Order.

I'm more of SVU fan, although I do enjoy all of them. I to thought Serena was cool, and loved the whole lesbian reveal after she was fired.

Law and Order is great. I miss Jerry. Jesse L. Martin has really stepped it up and he's sexy. Its interesting they both had a background on Broadway musical theater.

The original is still my favorite but Friday night is a horrible time slot. Guess I'll catch the shows on TNT.

Criminal Intent is a little strange and addictive at the same time.

Enjoy the new season everyone!

Surge - sheltered was a great episode. I saw The Covenant and it took me some time to remember where I had seen him.

You might want to see if the DVD version is available for rental.

Friday at 10 seems to be the L & O death slot. First Trial by Jury and then Conviction (goodbye hotties Eric Balfour, J. August Richards, and Anson Mount, though Milena Govich is apparantly the new cop and not the new ADA!)

What're they thinking?

LOVED Angie, I would love to see Ms. Carmichael (?) come back. Serena was cool. I liked Borgia, I thought she had more personality than Serena, but she only had one season. I think though that everyone gave her a hard time because she was new, like Greene and Farina. I hate the DA though the southern guy he is an asshole I loved Diane West I wish she would come back.

the whole plot line with fred thompson being the DA makes sense...they got rid of dianne wiest after 9/11 and brought in a republican (fred thompson was a real life republican senator from tennesse)...it coulda happened for real in new york (it didn't in real life thankfully but it made sense) considering those events.
fred thompson is a damn good actor tho...i like watching him despite his poltics...all those post 9/11 episodes were damn good.

i assume they wanna kill the show for some reason...maybe after 14 seasons it's too expensive??

I have noticed that they recycle people between Law and Order and SVU/CI. Has anyone else noticed that. Today I saw a re run of an eps of L&O and the defendant was a victim on an eps of SVU. Also did anyone notice that the current DA for SVU was arrested in an earlier eps od SVU along with three other female lawyers for raping a male stripper?

yeah...that's part of the fun in watching it. borgia was also in an earlier episode where she played a slutty defendant accused of murder...then she shows up as and A.D.A....

i do remember the SVU episode too...loved the whole explanation about how he was aroused because of fear, not excitment from dt. olivia.

I enjoy all the L&Os. I'm so thankful there are "thinking" shows on prime time. For awhile I thought they'd be eclipsed by lame-brained reality shows.
I have noticed the some of the same actors reappearing in different roles. Many have been from OZ, I wonder if Chris Meloni influenced the hiring?
I always enjoy the parrallels they make to current events, and although the guilty should be convicted, sometimes I'm conflicted over the conviction.
The only thing that pisses me off is when the really bad guys get away with it because of prosecutorial errors or miscalculations, and when they give really evil criminals a break to get the next guy up the food chain.

SVU is my favorite (Christopher Meloni, being the sole reasoning really) but the show hasn't been good, nor the same, since season 5. I hope they don't hook Benson and Stabler up. Ever since Stabler's martial strife, the writers have increasingly been setting up a "will they, won't they?" type of scenario with those two over the past few seasons. Both actors have chemistry but none is sexual, IMO, so having them become lovers will definitely end my viewing experience with that show -- which has already waned.

No. There are not that many actors in New York, hence the reason so many of the same actors playing bit roles in the L&O franchise.

svu is good but it's hard for me to watch cause it's a lot of really disturbing cases...especially about kids. but chris meloni is sumtin...here he is in oz...even the tiny schlong doesn't take too much away...

i guess he was doing this for his lover on the show...

I have always enjoyed L&O, even re-runs. SVU has to be my favorite though. Criminal Intent, not so much.

and James1200, that is anything BUT tiny... flaccid perhaps, but I'd be willing to bet its a 'really' nice one. :)
