Yeah I did actually, but apparently we won't get the results until at least March since they have to mark it 7-8 times or something like that. Stupid imo, especially for freshers but what can you do eh...

What about you? Did you get your marks back?

I got my results, but it was only two weeks ago. Got firsts on all the modules which i'm ecstatic about.

What are you aiming for? Have you started your dissertation yet?

Congrats on your results! Shame they don't count towards your degree though since you're only in first year.

I'm hoping for a 2:1 in my degree. And yes, I've started my dissertation, I started it back in the summer holidays. It's due on the 23rd so I'm putting the finishing touches to it atm.

Yeah I know, I told a couple of second years what I got and they said that I wasn't going out enough and that i'm wasting my first year haha.

That's cool, I know some people who haven't even started yet - but they've got their title and done the reading for it.

Well, whether or not your are wasting first year depends n what exactly your goals for first year are. Though I agree it is a good time to have fun whilst you don't have too much pressure, work wise.

And different departments have different dissertation deadlines so I imagine those who haven't done much yet must have later deadlines than me.

Well I guess the first year is more for the social side and fitting in. For that I would say i'm doing really well. Relationship front is extremely meh but we will see how that will go as time goes on.

But I guess my first year is going well in terms of goals.

Oh damn, I only have a 1,200 word essay to write and that's for a crappy sociology module that they are making us study. Plus I have to start revising soon for summer exams.

Nah, I would but I completely suck at history/archaeology so I don't think i'd be of much help haha

Yeah Napier, it's not one of the better unis in edinburgh but I'm enjoying it~ I've been studying in france for the last ten months, can't wait to get back home to edinburgh~
