Any other UK guys in university at the moment?

I'm studying "Modern Business Languages" and "international Management". A double diploma course. (I really need to go bac through the thread to read where everyone is from :| )

there's only been 4-5 of us from university that have posted in this thread haha so don't worry about it. i'm a first year from Leicester Uni though, nice to meet you mate! and welcome to JUB, i'm kinda new myself

I read back through and there doesn't seem to be many students~ I've never been to Leicester.... What's it like? I've hear it is a student city though?
Cheers for the welcome anyways

If you're serious about that, you should try for a place at one of the Russell Group universities.

Wow, thank you so much for this. I am definitely very serious about it all, so I will do all that I can to make it come true.
I flirted with the idea of trying out a university in another country, but for some reason I think I would prefer a university in UK because a) I'm a complete anglophile and b) I think it would give me an advantage and make things easier for me when I'm in the process of searching for a job in the UK and settling down, since they known that I'm familiar with the UK and all of that. This may be bs though - I don't know.

Subsonic: any idea where in uk?

No, I'm really open. As long as they have some interesting courses and good teachers then I'm pretty much open for anything. I have only been to London (about a gazillion times though) so that is all I know of.

Not BS at all. A familiarity with the UK would do you no harm if you wanted to come and work or study here, but there's a lot more to the visa requirements than that. You might be interested in this:

Thank you for it all - I really appreciate it. I had a feeling that it could only turn to my advantage so I will have UK universities as my #1 priority. As for the visa requirements I am not that concerned since I would classify under the EU-migrant, making things, as far as I know, quite easy for me.

Hey guys,

Not been following this thread but in response to the OP's question, yes, I study at a University in the UK. Studying in Egham, third year Psychology student (international). Hoping to meet more people here in the forum!

Once again, Hi people!

Hello to all the people who've joined this thread recently. I think we need a group hug to welcome you all (group)

Hey guys. Just come across this thread. I'm a second year over in the east midlan, doing history. Exams start next Tuesday, done a bit of work but think feel like I've left it a bit late and will get majorly fucked in these exams. But hope not :/

welcome scott, always nice to have a new face here :D

i'll stop derailing your other thread haha. nice, there seems to be quite a few of us from east midlands. I go to Leicester Uni myself, and there's another guy that does.

history is a interesting subject, I read up on a lot of past events but I would suck at it as a subject.

Just realised I put east midlands. I meant west xD Leicester was one of my choices, but I ended up having to go through clearing. Coventry was the best I could get really. I don't mind it though. I never really knew what to do at uni. Just ended up picking history as i enjoyed it at a level, don't know what I would have done instead so guess I made the right choice :)

coventry is in west midlands? that's weird because i'm sure that I drive past coventry on the way to Leicester anyway. are you part of any clubs/societies?
