Re: Anyone Else Have This Problem With Straight Me
I have many gay friends and I treat them just like I treat any other guys, but there are some gay guys who want to be treated like women. Nothing against that. There was this gay boy in my high school who was very femenine, and the other boys would treat him very gently and politely like they would treat girls. They would even refrain from swearing in his presence. The boys who were friends with him regarded him as a "lady friend" and not as another guy. I remember that once a new student tried to pick on the fem boy and one of the fem boy's friends jumped at him and said something like:"Why don't you fight a real guy instead of beating a girl?" Lol...
P.S: You are right that lots of straigyht guys consider gay men to be women, but there are many like me who consider them just guys with a different sexual orientation.

I've noticed that a lot of straight guys will treat me differently because I'm gay. Sometimes they're just awkward, like they don't know how to communicate with me, others will treat me like I'm a woman. At work they'll let me off the elevator first, hold open the door for me, etc., and they don't do the same for the other straight guys that work there. Also I had a roommate last year who was straight, and he definitely didn't treat me like his other straight guy friends. I don't know how exactly to describe it but...he just treated me a lot more...delicate. He was very overly protective and defensive of me--sweet--but I'm like twice his height and weight, lol. It's not necessarily a problem per se. Just an observation.
