I've been noticing on Facebook and Twitter that alot of gay guys are getting themselves professionally photographed even if they're not a professional model.

Hell, I have a friend who works at friggin' Target part-time and he somehow managed to get himself professionally photographed like he was auditioning for GQ or something:

Professional lighting. Shirtless. Airbrushed. Photoshopped.

Like the sheep I am, I feel inclined to get myself professionally photographed as well.

So I can get more dates, ya know? ;)

Anyone else have had themselves professional photographed to look like a model?

And where do I get find such services for myself?

:p

all you have to do is to find someone with a photography major.

I'm getting my boyfriend glamourshots for his birthday. I love getting airbrushed.

SO WHAT , we all want to look attractive and young
at 53 yrs I can take and produce a good look which is actually real without bullshit but it can be deceptive. Then when they meet me the truth shows and the lies show LOL

I've known people who have done it. I think it's just an ego boost to have a really hot pic of yourself.

If I had the money braex I'd do it in a heartbeat. When I lose the weight I need to take off I might just do it so I look purdy.

Mate a hot shot is possible even now, do one now and then later if you must. Pros are not needed

some people spent a lot of time airbrushing/photoshop their profiles but in person they look quite different (not as good looking).

wirega, I was only making a joke. Having photos taken professionally makes no sense to me. Maybe if was a family portrait if I had a partner and a baby but not just me.

don't you want to be a super model ?

I do photo retouching, but I refuse to do that to myself; I feel it'd be completely dishonest when people would see me in person and be like "Oh, you don't look like that." Plus, i'd feel weird fixing my flaws in a picture when I know that I still have them in real life.

:(

------

With that being said: I have no problems at all with retouching someone else if i'm getting paid. (!)

Oh I want this done, I have a twink body type which I hate, I want some more meat on my bones. So I might get this done to make me look lick a twock.

Tales, we won't discuss your genitalia which if that avatar is the real you then twink is a stupid notion.

As far as the body goes...not even a twink...gymnast or maybe swimmer....great shoulders, good arms nice torso and legs. No twink there, trust me on that.

As far as putting on a little meat, just wait...mother time/nature will do that for you.

Put away the razor/trimmer and the thoughts of fake photos. You don't need and won't benefit from any of it.

Oh My God..busted being nice...there goes my fucking reputation

...damn damn damn ](*,)

You've got a be stark raven mad.[-X

Ruin that strong chin those slender sensuous lips those bright and

dancing with spirit eyes? :grrr::nono:

Faugh I say and Faugh again. I likes me Raven not a phony beauty queen.:##:

Yeah, I know two professional photographers, and two or three who dabble (not including me). Maybe it's part of that whole "being gay" thing - knowing artistic people - but on the rare occasions I need a good photo, I know who to contact.

Never done any airbrushing or retouching other than to futz with some settings (black and white, contrast) to make it look artsier.

I'm kinda tempted to try it just to see what I'd look like for fun, but I'd rather people see me the way as I am instead of trying to hide all my flaws.

I've never found the airbrushed, glammed up, smoothed over look sexy in men. Pretty, yes; but sexy, not really.
