So what's the latest happenings in Germany...??? What about the weather...???

Discuss.

That woman is a saint, allowing the hordes to swarm all over Germany.

Are they still making good pottery there? I used to love some of the nicest vases they had to offer.

Is anything better happening in English or Scotch? I doubt it.

Well, we haven't nailed our Manhood to the walls yet like some...|

Back to topic. I happen to love German history but I'm hoping for something current.

So are Hungarian, Greek and Italian languages getting off Scot free?

There's some great stuff happening in French! Like kissing, fries and bread, toast not so much. In English you've got muffins and rolls. German does have its chocolate!

In English you've got muffins

English muffins aren't English. They're American. Go figure. And Canadian bacon isn't Canadian. It's American. And pizza isn't Italian. It's American.

There is, however, English toffee. Not so sure about English Breakfast Tea.

(candy candy candy candy candy CANDY CANDY!!!)

Pizza is actually Chinese. Besides, French Fries aren't really French either.

I thought I saw English muffins being featured on the Great British Baking Show earlier this season. I saw it on PBS, an American network, but a British show.

I think you mean rather the name. We call them English muffins in America to distinguish them from sweet muffins, much as we refer to English peas to mark their difference from field peas.

I'd think the Germans would all be rather busy drinking beer and eating schnitzel since it's Oktoberfest. That'd be gut...no?

You feel into their cunning Bavarian trick - Oktoberfest was last month.

Danke (UU)

Funny that here there are Oktoberfest events scheduled right up through this month....they didn't get the memo, I guess. #-o
