Araucaria Appreciation Thread

Hey John (*8*)

I remember Orlando before Disney... we had Gatorland.

Good Tuesday evening Dan, Billy, everyone! (*8*)

Dan, I believe Gatorland is still open, but I've never been there. I guess paying to see the critters is a hard sell if you've seen them across the state all your life.

Well, this afternoon I went to Walgreen's to get my second Covid booster. I've avoided Covid, or Chinese Bat Fever, as Gary calls it, so far. But they're saying that the new variants are so contagious that you're going to be exposed sooner or later. So I figure my options are to be as prepared as I can be, or spend the rest of my life in a cave and never come out to avoid it, which is no fun.

Good Thursday Afternoon John (*8*)

I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Good Friday evening, Billy! (*8*)

I hope your dialysis went well, and didn't wear you out too much!

Well, I felt rather blah for about a day after the vaccine, but that's cleared up.

I went to the dentist for a cleaning and X-rays today. They wanted to do a fluoride enamel paint on my teeth, but I declined because I have a fluoride allergy, and the possibility of having an allergic reaction without being able to remove the allergen doesn't sound like a good idea.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

(*8*) Good afternoon, John.

My doctor tells me I should have higher immunity for six months after "Chinese bat fever" then the vaccine can provide. No shots for me.

Have a great weekend John! (*8*)

Good afternoon, John. I hope you had a good weekend.
You are so right about covid vaccines. The aim is to be as prepared as you can in case of infection. A few days ago I was with a friend who still refuses to get vaccinated, but at the same time she is so scared that she is now wearing 2 masks

Good Tuesday morning Gary, RM, Paul, and Billy! (*8*)

RM, that is one hot stud there!*|*:fellate::sex: I just hope he doesn't get too tangled in his shirt to have some fun! :hump: On the other hand, those long sleeves might be useful for play... :-<

Gary, my neighbor told me that was what her doctor told her after she and her husband both got sick from Covid last year. Apparently getting the disease will give you strong immunity for a while.

Paul, I agree with you on the vaccines. Since Covid is now clearly with us permanently, it makes sense to use every RATIONAL measure to protect ourselves and reduce the risk of exposure, and be as prepared as we can be if we do get exposed, which now looks like the question isn't so much if, as to when.

Hey Billy, I hope everything is going fine with you. I appreciate your kindness and wishing all us JUBBERS Happy Birthday!

Good Tuesday Afternoon John (*8*)

I hope you are having a great day. We have been getting scattered rain here and yesterday we stayed in the 80's.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John.

Our heat has subsided to the high 90s. We have total cloud cover, but no rain.

Good Thursday evening, Billy and Gary! (*8*)

On the advice of a friend, I went out and bought a used refrigerator and had it delivered, to replace the old one. I just got tired of food spoiling and not keeping because my old refrigerator couldn't keep things cold.

Weatherwise, it's pretty much the usual mid/late summer doldrums, with highs in the low 90s and lows down to about 80, with very high humidity. There were thunderstorms here on Tuesday and Tuesday night; otherwise, there hasn't been much rain.

Billy, I hope everything is OK with you.

Gary, I'm glad you're getting some relief from the desert heat, though I'm sure even cloudy weather with temps in the upper 90s still feels uncomfortable. Maybe that will help on your AC bill.

Good Friday Afternoon John (*8*)

I hope you have a great weekend.

Doing well, Thanks. I hope you are also.
