Araucaria Appreciation Thread

(*8*) Hello Andrew, Rob, Paul, and RM! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! :santa::xmas:

Thanks for the card, Rob!

RM, send that Sants Baby to my bedroom!*|**|**|*:bj::fellate::sex::hump::spank:

I had a nice Christmas. I went to Sunday service at MCC, and got asked to do the scripture reading. It was The story of Mary and Joseph going to Bethlehem because of the Roman census, and having to lodge in a stable where the baby Jesus was born. I wore a red and white ski cap to church, due more to the weather conditions than the holiday. I was wondering if I should take the ski cap off, since St. Paul wrote about it being a shame for a man to have a head covering during worship. I decided that I'd go ahead and do what I'm doing, and if anybody says anything about it, I just won't wear it again in church.

Yesterday the weather was awful! It was overcast and cold, and 43 degrees in the morning. It had warmed up to 46 by the time I got to church. Fortunately MCC had heat, so I was comfortable. You'd be surprised how many churches I've encountered in Florida in which you find out they don't have heat during the rare extreme cold events.

We got a nasty surprise. When we got out at noon, it turned out that it had been raining, and it caused the temp to drop to 41 degrees! It's never that cold in South Florida in the middle of the day! It remained raw cold for the rest of the day, and I huddled in front of my space heater. to keep warm.

Good Thursday morning, everyone!

It's really nice today, sunny and temps in the 70s, after a couple of days of horrible weather. I'm relaxing right now.

Yesterday I and my next door neighbor rescued a duck that had been cornered and basically hunted down by two dogs. They had chased it down the street, and the duck couldn't get away. It seems that some man had let the dogs run way ahead of him without being leashed. After the dogs had gone away, the duck just sat there dazed and worn out for several minutes, before he walked on.

(*8*) Good for you, rescuing the duck. :=D:

Seems strange you are cooler the dessert. At least we are getting some rain and the coast is getting storm after storm.

Stay warm

Happy New Year's Eve John! (*8*)

Happy New Year Gary, RM, Andrew, Christian, and everyone! (*8*)

Christian, that sailor looks like he's reaching into his pants for something he wants me to take care of!*|**|**|*:bj::fellate::69::sex::hump::gaysex:

Gary, I see it's the Year of the Rabbit. I'll have to read up on what that's supposed to mean, but at first glance it seems auspicious.

Well, we're having our see-saw Florida winter weather, with a record high yesterday, after a cold Christmas. But we're fogged in this morning, hardly able to see anything more than a few feet in front of us.

Actually, this morning is very calm, even more calm than usual. I guess between the blanket of fog, and everybody in bed hungover, it's very peaceful, after a night when the neighbors kept setting off their bombs and fireworks.

Happy New Year, Araucaria. (*8*) I hope you are having a lovely day, and that it remains as peaceful as it started.
I’m okay and have had a refreshing bike ride today - the roads were extremely quiet for a change.

Happy New Year John! (*8*)

Good Monday evening Rob, Paul, RM, and Christian, and thanks for the New Year's wishes! (*8*)

Rob, I'm glad you got a bike ride in. Is it mild up there? A couple of days ago Pornoboy posted a temp in the 60s in Germany, and I suspect it's also very warm in England.

RM, I've never seen a smiley face blowing hearts before.

Christian, it looks like that stud is rubbing on his suntan lotion. Hmm, I wonder if he's preparing to visit the nude beach at Haulover?*|**|**|*:fellate::bj::69::sex::hump:

Hey Andrew! (*8*)

I hope the New Year is starting out well for you.

Well, I guess the Christmas tree is coming down this weekend. I don't understand why some people have to rush to take the decorations down just as soon as Christmas Day is over. This is a nice time of year, and I make a point to keep everything up until after Epiphany (Jan. 6). It always seems sad when the season is over, but I always seem to have a bit of a push and a determination to look ahead.

Enjoy your weekend John! (*8*)

Good Sunday morning, Christian and RM! (*8*)

Christian, send that guy right over!*|**|**|*:fellate::bj::69::sex::hump:

I did my annual cutting back of what's left of my Australian pine hedge yesterday, so they won't grow into full-fledged trees. I always wait until winter to do it, since it's way too hot the rest of the year. I also installed a hand-held shower head.

New neighbors are playing Latin music at 3 and 4 in the morning. That sure won't ingratiate them to the neighborhood.
