Well, I'm doing better. For the last several days I've been dealing with GI tract issues, but I'm feeling better today. BTW, the dentist texted me wanting to meet up for coffee, but I had just come from breakfast, the first full meal I've had in 3 days. I felt OK, but I figured I'd better stay home just in case. I guess I sort of feel like I do in paying the water bill-- I'll get to it, but I feel no urgency about it.

Paul, I'm glad to hear that your lilies are blooming. I'm finding that my amaryllis seem to do better in pots. I guess it's easier to control water and fertilizing, and avoid the problems like poor soil and nematodes that they'd have to contend with in the ground. They seem to like the outdoor conditions, but they flourish in their own pots.

Gary, you must be exhausted after delivering all those Easter eggs all over the world. I hope you're getting a nice rest.

RM, that's true. Sex after tacos can spell disaster in a gay relationship!

Well, I had a good Easter, and the neighbors across the street even brought over dinner and a chocolate Easter bunny!

Otherwise, things are much the same. My red amaryllis is still blooming, and Pogo the opossum is still making himself at home in my utility room.

Yes, I suppose it's possible that Pogo is female. I do know that opossums are marsupials (like kangaroos, koalas, and platypuses), the only ones in North America. That means that the babies are born at a much earlier stage of development than other mammals, and they spend the rest of their development in the mother's pouch, attached to her teats. I don't know how opossums are, but if Pogo is a female, I suppose she might already have her babies in her pouch. I suppose she would have to get out to eat every once in a while, but I haven't seen the opossum away from the utility room in a couple of weeks.

I think I can get around Pogo for the gardening tools I need for right now. But I guess I'll eventually have to buy a new gas can when I have to mow the lawn. It's been dry, but we had a deluge this afternoon, and it's supposed to get hot once the rain showers clear, perfect weather for grass growing. And I guess my fruit trees will have to go without their regular fertilization schedule this year, since the bags are right near where he/she is.
