On the other hand, the only thing "Holy" about my men where the holes in their defend and offence. What a horrible game. :( And then there was the 11:30pm, triple OT victory for USC and they were lucky to win. Got to hand it to Arizona. Their QB, on his only second start, did a remarkable job.

I hope Notre Dame it gets better next week.

Maybe the heat wave will end soon.

Well, today is my online Writers' Group Zoom meeting, and once again I have nothing to contribute. It's funny, but after all these years, I'm beginning to realize that I like the idea of being a writer more than actually writing, spending those long hours trying to come up with something meaningful, rewriting, editing, and polishing the work.

The typical extended summer weather continues, with the rest of the week being hot, muggy and stormy. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 92 with a heat index of 108. But the weather forecast is for a nice cool down next week, with lows 62-66 and highs 78-80, and rain chances going away. Sounds like we're finally getting a break.

The Gators are away this week at South Carolina. I'm kind of concerned, since they have a lousy away record right now.

The Writer's Group meeting sounds like an interesting event. I can imagine that writing works just like composing music: sometimes you come up with some good ideas and the rest is hard work. But as long as you're free and have no deadlines, it's fun.

I'm glad you have some cool days ahead.

I have my yearly dilemma when the Holy Men and USC met. My two favorite teams. As I have lived most of my life in Southern California, I prefer USC will win. That game will be a tossup also.

Sounds like both our temperatures are similar, but we do not have the humidity.

Frankie, I'm sorry it didn't work out with those guys. Sometimes the problem with being a loner is that we crave male companionship, and it sometimes makes us get involved with guys that are bad for us. I made that mistake a lot, especially when I was younger. Oh well, live and learn. I hope you can move on and get yourself in a better place quickly, and don't be too hard on yourself. :therethere:

Paul, yes, writing is probably a lot like composing music, as both are creative pursuits. You may enjoy the process of bringing a piece or writing or music into being, but it's a lot of work to take your inspiration and make it into something that others will enjoy reading or playing or listening to.

Gary, it's going to be a good college football day. I hope my Gators will win, and you'll have to decide on whether to root for your Holy Men or USC.

Thad, I hope that moneymaking opportunity worked out for you.

RM, I hope your horror move marathon is working out well for you. Or maybe you finally came upon the one movie that scared the bejeebers out of you so bad that you can't get it out of your head.

As for the dentist, things seem to be cooling off a lot, as it's been weeks since he's invited me over. I still get a text from him once every few days, but he's no longer sending me those filthy messages. I don't think there's anything that came between us, it's probably one of those things where he was curious about what having sex with me was like, and now that he knows, he's just lost interest. Probably looking for the next man he can whore his ass out to.

My phone call was about a pension from a long-ago job where I spent 12 years. It's in the works now but I have no idea how much it will be! Since the company was sold the pension is in the hands of a government agency that guarantees such funds.

Anything is a bonus!

I didn't watch football today so maybe I'll check the scores.
 
My Holy Men had USC figured out from the beginning. What a victory. ND raped USC and didn't even use atrogan.jpg :lol2::rotflmao:

I was very disappointed in USC.
 
I remember that the Gators played USC twice in the early 80s. The Gator fans made lots of jokes about USC's nickname.

I'm happy with my Gators winning yesterday. That was a game that went down to the wire, though. :=D:

Gary, your Holy Men dispatched with the Trojans quite easily. I didn't expect it to be the blowout it turned out to be, though.
