Happy Easter, everyone!

I feel a bit sad. On Friday I found out that a cousin had died. The family I have left keeps getting smaller.

Yesterday I was trying to clear out some excess growth from an area where my fruit trees are overcrowding each other. I had to get down on the ground to cut away some damn asparagus fern vines so I could cut back some bushes. When I tried to get back up I felt a sharp pain in my hip. Needless to say that put an abrupt end to my gardening activities. I still had prescription strength pain pills from my dental work last year, so I took one of those and I was OK for the rest of the day.
 
^That isn’t even the beginning of it. Asparagus ferns are covered by these vicious thorns. I think I’ve written on here before about how many times I’ve been poked, cut, scratched, punctured, etc. by those damn things. And yes, I got cut and stabbed on my hands working with them yesterday. I HATE those damn things!
