  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Are guys more attracted to effeminate types??

I always been attracted to masculine guys. I just like messing with manly guys something about doing stuff with a manly guy is hott my ex fuck buddy was a wigger and it was just hott that he acts so tough and bad sagging pants slang words etc and hes taking it in the ass.

I would be friends with a effeminate guy and hang out with them i just couldn't see my self with one

hmmmmmm
well moe, since we obviously disagree on the discernment of other individuals and the unlikelyhood of us achieving a compromise or even a meeting of the minds i will take this opportunity to behave in what i perceive as the manner of a gentleman and ignore furthur discourse/ missive communication with you.

From my experience on these forums and on dating websites and stuff, I've found that gay guys (both masculine and feminine types) are looking for a masculine man.

Now, what do I think of this? I see myself as more 'straight-acting' than 'feminine'. But, this is not because of the way I behave, per se, but more of my interests - I'm in love with clothes and dressing up, Madonna and Britney, and the list goes on and on. In terms of my speech or mannerisms, I'd say I'm pretty masculine, but once again, the words I typically use may be considered 'feminine', but spoken in a masculine way. You get my drift?

Now, most guys I've spoken to have this fantasy of being with a really macho man. I'm one of those guys. But, when I think about it, I've come to realize that I wouldn't be able to have a decent conversation with these 'macho' types - I just don't think I'd have much to say. I've had many straight male friends, but for some reason, I don't think I'd have the same conversations with my 'straight-acting boyfriend'. Call me stupid.

So are you really macho? Most guys, including me, are interested in true macho ones with not the interests that you mentioned.

This might seem like a stereotype but, do you guys believe that many gay guys are attracted to feminine types. I mean I know it is not true for everyone but it seems to me like a lot of guys like fems. For example, a lot of black guys seem to like fems because it is more like being with a girl but not with a girl. I hope i don't offend anyone.

You're kidding, right? Gay men are notorious for hating effeminate men and favoring masculine ones. I've met hundreds of gay guys and not one found feminine men attractive. Not one.

As for myself, the only males I find ocasionally attractive are the very feminine looking ones. I am a straight boy, so you can understand why this is the case.

Your question seems so far off base. If anything these days most gay men don't want anything to do with effeminate types, even if they are one themselves. Sometimes I'm astounded by the ideal of masculinity gay men seem to expect in others but not in themselves.

So true. It amazes me to see how many uber femme gay guys reject other gays as potential dates because they have feminine characteristics. It is shocking.

No, I'm not 'macho'. Why can't there be an in-between? I clearly stated what I saw myself as. Sort of feminine-ish interests, but speaks and walks and moves like a guy.
