Sorry if that is the impression I gave you. Although the grass is always greener; so you give the same impression to me. And I never realized I needed to hold everybody's hand by stating the obvious that there of course will always be the minority exception of people who produce and slaughter their own food; extreme minority in the U.S. especially. I was speaking of the status quo. If carnivores are so secure in their eating habits, I am amazed by how easily they feel threatened and offended by veg heads.
I can't speak for anyone else but I'm not a carnivore...I'm an omnivore.
I didn't/don't feel threatened by vegetarians/vegans or anyone else. But when you throw up videos of abused animals, as if all meat eating people are responsible, that's wrong.
Are there videos of corporate farming practices, in regards to produce, that show the destruction they are employing in the name of more food on less land? It's not as if the production of vegetables is any less horrific than corporate slaughter houses, it's just that it's easier to all choked up over a cow than soil microbes.
Most people don't know or care where their food comes from, as long as there's plenty and it's cheap.
