Because the guy who introduced them told me there's a couple of Mexican guys over there (while pointing) that charges really cheap to have things done.

A number of years ago, I went to a party with my female best friend. Everyone thought we were together. We acted like we were together. One woman came up to us and said someone told her I was "that". I asked her what? She said in a quieter voice "that".

I've found that when people have a problem saying a word or that they automatically assume the worst when the word is mention, they ought to be looking at themselves for a change.

I work in construction, and we use race to identify people all the time. Which operator? The black guy or the white guy? Which one of those is John? Oh, the Chinese guy? Ok.

Ya. In college, I roomed with an African white Jew. We went everywhere together. Too bad he transferred to another school.
 
Recently a teacher, in Oregon I think, was reprimanded by her Hispanic principal for discussing sandwiches, since they are racist. Not all cultures have sandwiches, so it is racist to discuss them, don't you know.

Funny how ridiculous anecdotes make big news in certain circles.
 

Again, the guy who mentioned them said there are a couple of Mexican guys over there... Now, replace "Mexican" with "weird looking" or "googoo gaga". My response would have been "I know those guys, I don't trust those weird looking guys" or "I know those guys, I don't trust those googoo gaga guys".

Again, the only reason I can think of for you people being so deathly afraid to say "Mexican" is if you think there's something wrong with being Mexican.

Do not put words in my mouth, first of all. YOU were the one that stated you don't trust "those" Mexicans, not me. I don't have any problems with any Hispanics - I'd mention more on that, but I don't have a habit of getting into my personal life when it's not warranted.

Sounds like a personal problem, and yet it did not answer my VERY simple question: What does Mexican have to do with the fact that you don't trust them?
 
I live in real life where most people indentify others by their names, but I guess that is weird.
 
^According to zombie, that's the wrong way to identify someone - I guess from now on, you love cyanide and being happy, and I hate everyone that has the last name Belmont.

You know that ignoring a part of someone's story and quote mine is intellectually dishonest? Or is everyone too politically correct to admit this as well?

The fact of the matter is race had nothing to do with it. But since everyone is so hung up on race, the mere mention of it, no matter how innocent, can be spun into racism.

But whatever...
