This exactly. Which is why it is absurd and hypocritical for homos and lesbians to be so eager to define male or female.

It is literally no different than saying that because a man is born with a cock, the only place that it should go is into a vagina. That homosexuality is really nothing more than an aberrant choice. That there is no neurological or psychological imperative that drives sexual identity.

Primary sex organs are only one part of a person's sexual make-up.

There is more than ample proof that people have experienced gender dysphoria or have known they were homosexual at a very early age.

I really don't care if someone doesn't accept transgender people at their own personal level, because of ignorance, fear and phobia. But their proclamations are never founded in scientific fact...only their own opinion. What I really detest is when they actively campaign against transgender people and try to erase them or demean and negate them. Better that they should shut the fuck up, sit down and let it play out, because they have no skin in the game and are suffering no injury by anyone who feels they were born into the wrong body.

That's a rather patronising response.

I don't have an issue with transgender people identifying as the opposite sex and realise that under UK law and provided they meet certain legal and medical tests, they can be legally recognised in their chosen gender. I don't have a problem with any of that and will use their chosen pronouns and whatever.

However, I still don't accept that a trans woman is the same as a woman. I would define a trans woman as an adult male who has been surgically and/or chemically and/or cosmetically altered to appear female. A woman is an adult female. I'm with Germaine Greer and Kathleen Stock on this.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but the term "woke" didn't start with kids on Twitter.

The was first recorded by Lead Belly in the 1930s in a song called "The Scottsboro Boys," about the dangers Black Americans faced traveling through states in the Deep South. The original line was "best stay woke," as in, "remain aware of the dangers of racism."

Black communities shortened the term to "stay woke," over time, and eventually added "woke" as a state of being--or constant awareness.
