In the little bit of the Olympics that I have seen the athletes don't have very revealing outfits this time. The swimmers have longer suits on and the sand volleyball outfits weren't short enough or tight enough for me. I'm sure that if I see diving later they will have smaller suits.

Openly gay Olympian Amini Fonua, 26, is passionate about promoting the visibility of LGBT people in sports and his swimsuit is helping. From Rio de Janeiro, where he is preparing to compete in his second Olympic Games, Fonua said “Having the words ‘gay and lesbian’ over my butt is my way of announcing my queerness for the swimming world to see.”

He’s not referencing the official swimsuit he’ll wear when he competes for Tonga in the 100-yard breaststroke; he’s talking about the one given to him by the Los Angeles LGBT Center three years ago when he helped raise tens of thousands of dollars as a participant in the Center’s Beach Volleyball Classic fundraiser. The Center’s former name, L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, is on the back.

“I have worn that suit to every single practice leading up to Rio,” says the Texas A&M University grad and winner of three gold medals from last year’s Pacific Games, “because there’s not a lot of diversity in swimming. It’s a gentle reminder to everybody and myself that I’m different, and to take pride in that difference.”

^ I wonder if the Americans got to see Dan Goodfellow wiping his hands on his crotch? From what I hear and read, male divers and swimmers are like Elvis on The Ed Sullivan Show: from the waist-up only.

After their misses, it was nice to see a bronze-winning dive at the end.

Oh -- and how in the world are the Chinese so uncannily good at this sport -- I mean -- how can anyone beat perfection???

Some Chinese guy has just won the swimming gold, he's a drugs cheat, i wouldn't be surprised if the Chinese are back doping again.

I don't EVER watch conventional team sports.......EVER........but I do enjoy the Olympics, Winter and Summer.
It was so disheartening to watch one of our guys slip from the high bar.......
Aside from that I think the entire U.S. mens' gymnastics team is the hottest ever.
DAMN they're a good looking bunch........
