Lol. I was going to post that one.

^ I saw that this morning. Cute.

Meanwhile, Ryan Lochte apologised... sorta:

"I wanted to apologize for my behavior last weekend -- for not being more careful and candid in how I described the events of that early morning and for my role in taking the focus away from the many athletes fulfilling their dreams of participating in the Olympics," he said Friday on Instagram.

Lochtke...what a dipshit

I can just imagine the moment when it finally hits home that he's lost out on millions of dollars worth of endorsements

...no Wheeties box for him

he'll probably wind up on a sleezy reality show...then fade to obscurity

only to pop up years later in a DWI mugshot

He already was on a sleazy reality show: "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" It got cancelled after just a few episodes.

Most of you probably won't remember the name Ben Johnson. Not surprising. Back in 1988 during the Seoul Olympics, Ben was Canada's version of Usain Bolt. He became a Canadian icon and hero. He became the embodiment of Canadian sport. He won 2 bronze medals in Los Angeles (1984) and one gold medal in Soeul (1988), setting a new world record at the time.

Canada rejoiced and branded him a hero. No Canadian had won the 100-metre sprint since Percy Williams in 1928.

And then he crashed, and he crashed very hard.

Drug testing showed that he had steroids in his system. I even remember the name: Stanozolol. Ben denied it, of course, and we were all on his side and rooting for him. But then the official announcement came. Ben was disqualified. He lost both his medal and his world record. Again, Ben denied it, claiming that he had no idea that his coach and trainer had been feeding him steroids without his knowledge. We questioned our loyalty, but gave him the benefit of the doubt.

And then, before the end of the games, Ben finally admitted at a news conference that he knew he was taking the drugs. He left Seoul disgraced and without Canada's adulation. He became a bitter non-entity.

But he still pops up from time to time, trying to keep himself relevant. And Usain Bolt has given him the impetus to put himself out there one more time. If nothing else, he gives Canadians a good laugh:

Welcome to Groundhog Day, Ben Johnson version.

But instead of emerging from his den every Feb. 2 to predict the end of winter, the Ben Johnson groundhog emerges every Olympics to remind people that he's the greatest sprinter ever. That, of course, brings up the drug thing all over again, which is certainly not what he needs.

Rinse, repeat, rinse again.

The former world sprint champion, whose gold medal at the Seoul Olympics was ripped from his neck after a positive drug test, was at it again this week, telling the Toronto Sun that in his prime he would easily beat Olympic champion Usain Bolt.

Like Usain Bolt, Ben Johnson was born in Jamaica, but Usain brought something with him that Ben did not: integrity.

(I love this pun)

What in hell happened to Thomas Daley? Favoured to win the gold on 10-metre platform, he fell apart in the semi-finals and ranked only 18th. He will not dive in the finals.

Was he favorite for gold? I would have thought Qiu Bo was favorite. The BBC had Tom on for a bronze. Either way, he fucked it - probably not helped by how shit the diving has been run in Rio.

Mongolian wrestler loses bronze medal match after celebrating too early. Man in red was a point in front but was docked a point for the early celebration. Therefore man in green won bout on a countback. Coaches protest by stripping in front of judges.
